I've read somewhere that doing a portrait is the most challenging form of art, you make it look so effortless. Everything you do is incredible.

Also I agree, I'm sure he worked his ass off to get to where he is today and I'm sure he's working even harder to progress, but to be able to create the way he does requires certain talents whether marginal or otherwise to be present. You can pretty much see that in the video, it starts with something nearly anyone could draw, just some simple outlines of the shape he wants to achieve. Then, as the video ends, you see an incredibly detailed illustration that needs a talented vision and skilled hand to achieve. It's basically a marriage of both talent and hard work, hence the incredible quality. =)

Do you have any evidence that drawing like Glider does requires talent that can't be acquired through practice?

Okay, this is not a very good example but after 5 minutes of youtube searching this was the best I can come up with. + Show Spoiler + In the very beginning of the clip I'm in the very top right. The white kid in the purple shirt. There are a few parts throughout the movie where I'm in actually focus (not much but hey, what are you gonna do?)

Only by practice can the potential behind talent be untapped, that is amazing. What I meant is there's no way in hell I could do that, even if I practiced my ass off. You need both things to make it work.
