If you're 100% sure about your files, then tell your AV to ignore the file or whatever you can do with this AV

Then again, you're at school to learn. Not to play games.

I don't think I had a warning/false positive with those cause it's not that weird MP only version with lots of other stuff coming along with it

Most schools don't give you free time, nor give you an option to play games on their computers, unless it's a college cluster in a dorm or something. Then again, I guess it depends on what you do free time. Either rest up for next classes by taking a nap or doing HW and being productive, or playing games even if you have a test coming up. Your choice.

You throw in you two cent snide remark? Get off his nuts man. On topic I don't think there is much you can do unless you can access the AV program unfortunately. If you could get access to it though you should be good to go from there.

Don't act like you're the cool kid here. I'm giving him a decent advice given his circumstances. Obviously he can't do anything more with iccup because of AV, and the only option would be official BNet servers with cracked CD-Keys, but at that rate its better if he just focuses what's happening in school. To sum it up: If AV thinks its virus, no iCCup from school. Give up. Doesn't matter if its from iccup or bnet.

But at the same time... if you asked a question about how to do something you liked and someone told you 'well, you shouldn't be doing that anyways, study more! It's good for you.' you'd probably be pretty chapped. I know I certainly don't make threads on TL so people can tell me how to live my life, and if all you've got is 'shouldn't be doing it anywayyy!' then you may as well not post at all.

You can play BW fine with iccup version. BNet version won't change anything. Chaoslaunder has a file that maybe "acts" like a virus but does no harm at all see: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=74372 Now, iCCup launcher uses Chaoslauncher plugin for few different things, including mouse change, disable windowskeys and what not, but also most importantly, LAN Latency. In fact, iCCup Launcher is just Chaoslauncher in disguise, as you can run iCCup Antihack off from Chaoslauncher as a plug-in. This means that no matter what you do, unless you can access the AV and disable few things, you can't play iCCup with Antihack, which pretty much destroys the purpose of iCCup (its "amazing" antihack system and latency changer),

Of course what fun are computer networks without shenanigans? If anyone asks, tell them the Internet made you do it. ![]()
