they're being rude by not leaving you alone and keep harrassing you, so just make it quick and close the door, be rude yourself (one could call it self-defense-rudeness  )maybe even become a bit louder sometimes, don't even start to discuss with these people "No" period, done. | ||

In Holland it's more common to not give a tip for everything (only tipping I know of is in restaurants), but I guess in US thats different. Anyway, I consider it rude to ask for tips, even if you deserve one. She already gets paid by her boss you know. | ||

 who the fuck DEMANDS a tip? the second someone DEMANDS a tip, is the second you refuse to give them one. Tips are by definition optional, aren't they? Thats why a tip is a tip and paying the bill is paying the bill... | ||
