Uhm yes very nice but I will make a judgement when Illusion has made a name for himself in big tournies. Otherwise I think of him just as generic NA terran whos pretty good, like ThisIsJimmy, TriMaster, or Drewbie. (the list goes on there's tons of NA terrans who are "good" by NA standards)
QXC will always be my favorite NA Terran with most potential imo <3
Edit: Oh hes only 15? Is this a trend? 15 year old terrans who are good? DarkHydra, HeRoMaRiNe, and now Illusion.. lol weird. I think its funny how the Korean 15year old terran (TaeJa) is still miles ahead EU and NA 15 year old terran.

Interesting to hear this. It sounds like adaptability is still very important in SC2. I think that will prove to be especially important when HotS is released, and all the 1-build-abusing players get thrown back into bronze league, where the real pros will quickly morph their style to accommodate.
It's interesting to watch what players evolve over time and which stagnate or even regress (as other players get better/figure out their builds).
The best players are the ones who rely on their game sense, mechanics, and understanding of deeper strategy, rather than clever builds. It's always much more interesting to watch that manifest itself rather than, "oh hey, it looks like his build just countered that other build."
And as always, good to see you still posting Rob.

Nice write up LuckyFool.
I remember when I was finishing my 2nd to last semester that I was thinking whether or not I wanted to try taking SC2 seriously or not after graduating. I decided not too but at the time I was looking for training lessons. Even though I'm borderline GM I still felt that it would benefit me to get some training from other terrans for other perspectives on the game. I remember seeing Illusion had low prices at the time but I never pursued this probably because I was too busy with school and work. Now his prices are like doubled.
Like a few months later there is Illusion shitting all over the competition at age 15. I feel weird trying to talk to him/about him because he's so young.
The other point that I wanted to make was, I purposely didn't give a shit about HS. Did terrible, barely passed HS. Now have graduate degree. My blog post was more for just college because you shouldn't waste time when going for a career. The only good thing about H.S. is that it could help you get into a better school.
Good luck Illusion.

Ilusion looked good in the IPL Team Arena as well defeating Choya and Lucky. Demuslim said on his stream that he got 3-0'd by Illusion for a qualifier of some sort. Definitely going to be following this guy.
Lucky I remember those practice games you had with Kawaii, he was streaming and it was just before TSL2 right? Destination/Heart Break Ridge era? I remember this because Kawaii kept saying you only needed 1 gas on 2 base doing m&m TvZ until science vessels.

i have never been to MLG.

ah cool blog, I'll have to have an eye out for illusion. I knew he was young but didn't think much of him until now.

I remember playing Illusion right when he switched to terran, even right when he switched he still gave me really good games and won most of the time. I am glad to have seen him improving so much. I had to play Illusion for my tryout for Revoki was a fun game.
Illusion fighting! <3

Illussssssion~! I remember this kid as well from when he first joined vile and I think I'm on the same page as you with his very rapid improvement (and builds). GL

I am really glad that I actually came back to his stream when I first saw it, when he was still playing zerg. wich isn't my main race. The thing that impresses me the most is his awesome thoughts that he gives during his stream, he really figures things out - goes about it, explains why and all. He is really talented and only want to see him do well in the near future. He is aswell a guy who just wants to make his stuff work, even tho everybody says how bad it is, he finds the weak spots in people. really cool to see, gg!
