I was watching the GSL Blizzard cup just now and saw some great games. Unfortunately for+ Show Spoiler +
Naniwa - he quickly found himself tied for last place with Nestea, 0-3. In his desparation,
Naniwa broke out the forbidden, OP, and taboo build - the worker rush.

Obviously the only thing that had preserved the metagame so far was the progamers' gentlemen's agreement not to perform this tactic. with naniwa showing he's willing to do anything for a win, how will the spirit of competition in SC2 be preserved? will we have to go back to watching broodwar?

this must be why all the BW guys tell me that BW competitions are better, with less cheese. In BW the worker rush is only 66% as strong since you start with less workers.

Also in BW people don't randomly decide to throw a game no matter how dramatic it would be. Throwing a game like this in Proleague = insta-paycut.

when a player like naniwa can do this vers a player like nestea it really says something about the game. i propose that only 1 worker can leave the base and the rest are prevented by a forcefield that only affects workers. tho this forcefield cant affect oponents workers

Why, and what does this "say about the game"?

the 6 worker rush is fine what Nani did was the 7 worker rush which is just on a whole other level and is almost taboo in Korea due to how strong it is (think 1-1-1 but you could warp in seige tanks using a protoss pylon)

It was only to give his opponet a fair chance of winning that Naniwa didn't micro the probes.

I lol'd when I read the title. People are taking this too seriously and it's nice to see someone with a sense of humour.

How can you possibly think that comparison is fair? Proleague is designed to not have any games be meaningless.
Yeah
