Since release i have thought, Starcraft requires a lot of sitting, but at the same time, you cant just sit without any move. So i run, but running is not enough, you can go to gym and all that stuff but that's just too boring i say.
So i thought about this idea - Whenever I loose, I make 1 push-up for 1 minute of the match. What equals - Match lasts 18 minutes - I make 18 push ups, then istarted to add to it different kind of push ups, then something more and so, in a year god dammit my back muscles and my chest and hands became so god damn muscled, too bad i didnt thought about making something like photos before and after.
Just an idea I wanted to share.

Very good idea imo, I can say from personal experience. It helps so much if i'm just pissed off after a bad loss, it flushes all the negative emotions out. I don't do anything too hardcore, just some pushups, and lift some weights.

It takes less than one second to do a pushup... Why not just take 60 seconds off and do as many as you can all in one go.
|
I just do a set number of pushups/situps/pullups/squats between each game, and not just with SC2, any game. So for example I will say I'm going to do 10 squats each game, then by the end of the night if I've played 10 games that's 100 squats.
Personally I don't like to use exercise as a "punishment" for losing. By exercising I am helping myself feel better, if anything I use starcraft to punish myself for exercising haha

pushups alone aren't going to be enough to keep you fit

I used to watch tourneys on a laptop and do 2 pushups every time the commentator said one of the players names. Pretty good workout.

I have a bench and barbell in my room so I usually do a set after each loss to deal with any lingering emotions.
|
I've done something similar but I got lazy T___T
|
i need a punching bag, i tend to get insanly angry after losing and punching the wall is starting to take its toll on my hands
|
i tried to do this last time but i failed because i was too lazy :/

Actually, you should check out this site called "Fitocracy" which pairs a leveling up aspect with fitness. Interestingly enough, there's a Team Liquid group on there! I'm in it.
