EPTI doubt any of you remember , but in the past i have posted 3-4 videos on how to create artwork for streams/tours/leagues and other Gaming related stuff.
I always get such a great feedback from Team Liquid , so every now and then when i get the free time i create something for you guys : >
If we put the spotlight on Personal Streaming channels , we can quickly see that the quality (and i do not mean resolutions) is evolving. From choppy random images , to avatars and webcams streams are starting to take a much more professional look.
Best example are the players under the TL tag that use a very nice and easy on the eye format both in game , and while they do other stuff...
So here i come ! Creating a how to video , on how i think this format was created.
You should not copy what i show you , but inspire yourself to make your own channel feel and look better !
I am using a programm called After Effects cs5 from Adobe. Many of you will correctly argue that for what i am going to show Photoshop would be better , but that's that one i own and know how to use.
I explain everything in the video , but it would be nice if you understand the 2 basic techniques i use.
i) Masking : Imagine a piece of paper and a pair of scissors. You cut a shape , and then you decide if you want to keep the shape you created , or throw it away and keep the original paper with a hole inside :D.
Then you can also adjust how big the shape is going to be , and how soft or hard you want the edges (Fade in/out)
ii) Bold or not Fonts This ofc is not a professional term.. Every time you type a word or sentence you can then decide to grab some letters/or all and change their color or thickness.

Every time you type something you can decide if you want it to have a stroke or not. Imagine a stroke as a line around your letter which can become thicker or thinner and change colors !
