Games -
D3: So, I played like 2 hours of D2 before but I stopped because I didn't like the lighting and the constant farming. At Blizzcon, I got a chance to play the arena with my friends and against them. Boy, that was a shit ton of fun. At one point, I was against my friends where they went all witch doctor...that was the most frustrating game ever especially as a barbarian. Barbarians can't do shit then they blow people up, it's a roller coaster ride of emotions. Overall, I thought arenas was fun, we didn't care about the single player since it was the same as the beta.
WoW: I honestly did not expect them to have a pre-alpha of pandas in wonderland but they did. Playing the monk was cool and the quests were interesting. The monk class seemed more involved and sort of like a rogue. I have quit a few months ago due to boredom and my friends not being great guildmates/people. I think I may come back to play due to pandas, new dungeons, and pokemon.
HoTS: I played against a friend and I played zerg. Unfortunately, I was a dumbass and I didn't tech to the new units. I hope to play more of the new units next year and in beta. Singleplayer was fun and playing as Kerrigan with her graviton powers was interesting.
Blizzard DoTA: This game was fun as fuck. It's simplified and the heroes were easy to learn. The shop was simplified and clean. I enjoyed this and it was fun playing with and against friends. For a custom game it is polished and good for casual gamers. I think, this would be a good draw back into SC2 for people who really care about custom games.
Parties -
Curse gaming - So we didn't know that you needed to be registered to go to this event. Two of my friends got in because these two girls made them fake wrist bands. My other two friends went through the back way and another just said he lost his. When everyone kind of ditched me while I was waiting in the standby line, I got slightly upset but then I was like fuck this shit and went in the back way. I don't regret this at all.
The party was fun, lots of free beers and cocktails. They had a dj and a dancefloor with beachballs being thrown around. Our group danced like retards and got drunk. Kind of glad I didn't just returned to the hotel and be mad.
The supposed after-party - The whole reason we stayed at the Hilton was so we could get into the after party however there wasn't an after party due to the Hilton wanting money. So, it was cancelled and not a lot of people really knew. Some of my friends were quite pissed but we hung out with somebody's old guild mates and just chilled out. Not a bad way to end the night.
Cool things -
Day[9] had an autograph session which I didn't know about until we walked past the Jinx booth. I got my picture and autograph :D So happy~!
My friends agreed to go to the SC2 finale instead of the realm meet up and they are happy they did. They never really seen competitive SC2 and after the last game they were so blown away that they want to see more. I told them a bit about MLG and that we should go if it is near us and I also thought of taking them to barcraft too! This part made my fucking day.
TLDR: All games were good to me. Sneaked into a party. Met Day[9]. Got more friends into competitive SC2.
