Let's just say.... it was one of the most action packed dreams ever.... for a 3 hour nap, it felt like the longest nap ever..... AND the longest SC2 game ever......
Imagine a dark room...... there is barely any light going on..... The strangest thing is...... I see myself.... playing StarCraft......
Basically, I am watching myself play SC2 with my 2 friends. We logged on to b.net. Did a match search, and we got all excited when the game started....
LOADING SCREEN: I realize that my friends and I are TZP, vs another team who's TZP......
Mirror matches basically.....
And the map? Some non-existent strange 6 player map that has never been created and yet for some reason it looks really familiar to me.
(Now this is where the dream gets REALLY strange..... For some reason, instead of playing the game from the very beginning, it skips past all that and puts me into a situation, where my partners have both died, and I'm pretty much facing a 1v3 here.....)
Good news: All 3 of my opponents rushed, so I have the uppadvantage.
Bad news: I decided to just tech up to straight up Marine/Medivac, so that's gonna take some time before I can move out
Remember how I said I was watching myself? Well.... I can see that the scene's gotten really intense. I'm basically whacking away at my keyboard, and clicking as fast as I possibly can..... I'm freaking flying at 300 APM, trying to make sure my one timing push can eliminate all 3 at once.... the pressure is intense.... with both my partners dead, I was the only one left to take all 3 out and I wasn't about to let us lose this badly.....
(For some reason..... once again.... the dream has fast forwarded)
Now I arrive at a scene where I have successfully crushed all 3 of them..... I have won every head to head battle. I've been dropping each of them nonstop just to rattle them up. I managed to take down expo after expo and I've really got the upper hand here..... 3/3 Marines/Medivac..... oh yeah baby..... oh yeah......
(Dream fast forwards again)
WTF!!!!??!?!?!? I'm losing?!?!?! I arrive where I'm in this intense scene where I'm being ripped apart. The opponent T has decided to mimic me by also going marine/medivac. Toss some infestors with fungal in there, and Colossi. NOOOO!!!!!
I have 3 expos operating but they're almost mined out..... Seeing how bad the situation is.... I kick up my APM to like 350 and just start clicking frantically. I don't even remember what I was doing.... all i know is.... I CAN'T LOSE THIS GAME!!!!
(Dream fast forwards once again..... I have no idea why dreams do this....)
I've lost my expansions..... The only operating expansion is my island expo..... which is about to be tapped out.....) I have a small army still at hand...... I realize I've lost this game...... and with sweat pouring down my face, teeth clenched, I reach over to type GG, when all of a sudden....... the opponent types this:
"WTF?! YOU HAVE 2600 ELO, YOU'RE SO GOSU MAN!!"
I was like ???? I know for a fact that SC2 doesn't have jack to do with ELO, but apparently the SC2 in my dream was based off of ELO. And 2600 is like near pro level apparently (nose gets big)
All in all...... time's ticking away..... I have forgotten that I wanted to type gg.... I decide "what the hell..... GO FOR IT!"
I take what's left of my army.... and I punch in as hard I can with everything I've got......
............... But......... it's not enough.........
I lost the game........
I reach over..... take a big sigh..... and even though my 2 friends were cheering me on the whole time...... even they knew that it was over.... they pat me on the back and say "it's okay man."
I reach over I type GG........
I hang my head in disappointment....... The darm room start darkening..... Until there's nothing but pitch black.......
And then......
I woke up......
I checked my watch: says 4:40pm
I'm like "huh, missed my HIST class"
So what's my next move? Let's blog this on TL, before I forget it.
