There is no sound because fraps apparently didn't want to record it or something. I after I do more work on it and add more levels and enemies then I'll make a new video with sound.

I didn't have a bc laser sprite and I was short on time. My plan is to change it so the yamato cannon is a special attack and the bullet 1 shots everything it collides with until it goes off the screen.

Haha, a couple of years ago I was working on a teamliquid space invaders game...

The background was the forums (like how you have space) and the sidebars on both sides repeated continuously as you scrolled... the enemies and the like were all based on pre-sc2 memes. There was some type of a bug where it would run on my computer but not on the computer of another guy that offered to help me test it.... I couldn't figure out what was causing the bug and just gave up working on it D:

Yep, everything is coded with c++

I used DirectX 9 for graphics, DirectInput for... well input, and FMOD for sound (which isnt playing in this video)

I'm planning on making this as modular as possible and loading from XML files so people can change stuff if they want. The only reason I didnt post a download link is because there's only 1 level and its pretty fucking boring.

Currently its completely random (they have the option of shooting every second, each enemy decides randomly if it's going to shoot or not)

I'm planning to add devourer, scourge, guardians, and overlords at some time in the future, I only had like a week and a half to do this from scratch so I had to set my sights lower (especially since MLG was this weekend and I live in Orlando)

You have to add different speeds too D:<

Overlords shoot creep: it's slower, but they're longer pieces.
Hydras are fast, but smaller.
