Steve Jobs dude!.. i mean come on! The man was almost a legend in the non-gaming geek world. Given in adoption as a child, made the first Apple computer in his garage with a friend, then he got fired from his own successful company (which lead Apple into having their worst era ever.so far). Then he started another computer company Next and then bought Pixar, which is a world known animation company with awesome films (not just because of the drawings and animations itself, but because of the stories they told, which were easy to relate and watch for kids and adults). Then he returned to Apple, saved it from going bankrupt and changed the world again by putting an ipod/iphone almost every kids pocket (yeah i know not a lot of people don't have an apple smartphone, but i like to believe so). I mean, Steve was an icon in the tech world, and a personal hero to me. I'm aware i was never going to meet him or probably even see him, but fuck it, i wanted to be like him, i wanted to have his ideas, i even wanted to have his beard and look like that when i grow old. Of course the man wasn't perfect. He never knew his father and denied her daughter for the first couple of years but he didn't need to be perfect to be an awesome role-model. I just cant believe he whom survived so much could survive no more.
I wont say i cried over him or that i locked myself in my room and started thinking about life and death, but i can say a little part of me is feeling sort of empty right now, Steve Jobs is dead!.. i didn't think it would happen for a long time. I dont think anyone'd be able to replace him. I wont ever feel the butterflies i felt the first time i watched his speach on Stanford university or his presentations on the Apple events. You could tell he knew what he was doing, and he had the power to create things that could change the world, if he felt like it. Awesome guy who was so easy to relate to,
Rest in peace my friend, rest in peace.
Edit: He didnt make Pixar, he actually bought it. Pixar was founded by George Lucas at first, thnx for the feedback!.

(fwiw, I'm not an Apple fan either. I don't have a single Apple product. Still, your comment made me despair a little bit more at the trend of people basking in ignorance and being proud of it)

George Lucas started the company, to be a division of LucasFilm in the computer graphics department.
In 1986 Steve Jobs bought Pixar for 10 million dollars.
Source for Pixar's history.

Steve jobs was the modern day Grahm bell. Changing the way we use technology. regardless of wether we use his products. He has changed the way they are made. Such vision and hardwork cannot go without applause.

I never liked apple products, but he was a marketing genius. He made computers not seem "as bad as they were" before the apple craze. (Or at least it seems like it) Only Apple product I own is an iPod. I don't want an iPhone, the only reason I got the iPod Touch is because I needed an MP3 and wanted an authenticator for my WoW account, so I figured I'd hit 2 birds with 1 stone.
I do found it funny though how many macheads cry over this as if it's the end of the world though. It's not, though he's been a big part of Apple's image, he hasn't been developing the products by himself. I'm sure that if they can get a public figure like Steve Jobs, they'll continue to do well. Depends on how faith people had in the man rather than the company now.
Also, if you hate Apple and don't know Steve Jobs... I feel sorry for you, because he's the guy you should hate, not the company. He's the one that created the "I have an Apple Product, look at me I'm cool" fad.

I honestly just hope something good happens with his leftover billions, because he never used them for charity when he was alive.

You must be a gigantic Apple fanboy to believe that Steve created Pixar.
