Id like to ask how is it that people improve their macro? Like I really dont know how its happening but I always have loads of scv in TvT and TvZ but somehow in TvP I always seem to have less workers. Ok well this is how bad it is, in a tvp I dropped my protoss oponents main twice and killed 45 of his workers, and at the 15 minute mark he was 10 ahead... I dont know what the fuck is going on but it is just wierd.

As I have said in a previous blog I used to get very angry and want to smash my monitor in when I lost but now I just feel like just sitting there and silence and just look at a wall thinking how bad I am and how I just cant win a single macro game in TvP unless my opponent slips up.

It is beyond me how to control vikings, ghosts and stutter step bio while all my opponent has to do is a-move zealots, archons, hts and collusus in a huge ball and it doesnt matter how much I try I always just lose.

I chose not to put this on the strategy forum as I think you need to be masters or above to be taken seriously there and I am only platinum and just feel very dissapointed that I just cant play better. Heres the replay if your interested, as you can see my macro is terrible in TvP and I still lose with a massive advantage.

I just felt like holding this back the whole blog but I may as well just admit it, I really feel like just breaking down and crying over how bad my play is and how I just dont seem to be improving. its really making me not enjoy starcraft at all, as I feel TvT and TvZ are really fun and the units do not seem as unstoppable as my protoss opponent's

Thanks

( 12pm and I really should be getting to bed but im just going to keep playing and playing until I make a breakthrough )

Don't be afraid to stop by the Terran Help Thread or even to make a new thread just like this but with [L][H] Tags (for a low-level player seeking help). As a general rule, people are suspicious of platinum league players giving out advice, but anyone asking for help, regardless of league, is entitled to receive it if they put in the effort on their end.

Post a replay there with some analysis from yourself and an earnest request for help and people will gladly come to your aid. Check out the following threads to do so:

http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=210370 [warning against bad posts]

People will be glad to help identify what parts of your play you can improve, and what's holding you back.
When you stare into the iCCup, the iCCup stares back.

look in your replays of games where you feel that you have shit macro. Then make a mental note or physical note if you have to about where this is during the game and the next time you play, remember that time where your macro failed (i.e. during a battle or while you are dropping) and you will eventually get better and faster from there

If you watch Day[9] at all, you should know that the simplest solution to improving your worker production is to watch a replay and then hover over your command center and see how constant your production is.

If it isn't, you literally have to just focus on your SCV production almost exclusively. Like put postits all over your screen, play games vs AI, purposely drop 20-30 games so you get easy opponents where you can just focus on macro, etc.

Depending on how many bases you're on. It's ok for terran to have less workers than protoss because of mules.

I believe the "rule" is 1OC/Mule = 4-5 scvs".

So you can be behind 4-5 scvs per OC.

Being behind 10 or so workers isn't that bad all things considered.

If the drop killed 45 right away and you're still behind, maybe then there is an issue.

As mentioned above, watch replays and check your production tabs.

Mass zerglings doesnt fail

You are giving yourself too much credit, Terran micro is as easy if not easier than protoss.
Sure.
