Unfortunately not in my school (yet), but there is alot of it going on here in Stockholm - ESPORTSM, Stockholm Esport Arena, BarCraft(s) etc, one of which is premiering this Saturday: BarCraft!
I've been so excited for this ever since the first thread about it being in Stockholm popped up in April, but there were a lot of other people that were equally excited about this! The first bar was announced 31st of August. The event was going to be DH Valencia, a tournament a lot of people are excited about, and the 120 bookable seats were rapidly sold out, leaving me and the rest of the other ~600 people in the Facebook-group with no choice but to fight over the remaining 30 spots in the bar when the doors open at 6 pm this Saturday. Needless to say, chances of attending the first BarCraft here seemed bleak, but that was until yesterday! Not even 24 hours ago another bar with 160 bookable seats and 140 additional spots was announced, and this time I was getting one of those god-damn seats!
2 PM today I got a confirmation on a reservation for me and two of my buddies. :D
I must say that I giggled a bit when the girl on the phone asked if I was "a part of that computer-game thingie?" They have no idea what they're getting themselves into. xD
I sighed in relief when about 30 minutes later people started commenting that they couldn't book a table anymore. I had just gotten in before they stopped the bookings for the day. :'D Fortunately for those wanting seats they'll accept bookings again in the morning, AND a third bar in Stockholm is going to show DH Valencia! This makes four bars in total (three in Stockholm and one in Uppsala) that quite possibly can get filled with StarCraft 2-nerds on the first BarCraft(s) in Sweden! I'M SO F-ING EXCITED! Let's make these bars want us back for all SC2-events!!! :D:D:D Also, massive shoutout to Magenta for being the one getting the first bar to broadcast it and making this a reality, thank you and gl hf in Valencia!!!
So, now a bit school-related stuff as always in this series of mine:
My first assignment has been handed in - writing a review of a game wasn't really that hard to do. ^^' Now though we've started on the main project this class - making a game. We're using Multimedia Fusion 2, which means that there's no programming - just click-and-point to create stuff. Me and the classmate I'm doing a game with has almost completed one of our three required levels, and although we're having the presentation next Friday I think we're making good progress. We're told to focus specifically on making the gameplay smooth and to not care about it not looking too great, so it should be fine. I will be linking the game whenever it's "finished", and you'll have to wait until then to know what kind of game we're doing. ^^
Last but not least, shoutout to prOpSaiton - an old parkourbuddy of mine that also started in the same school as me, and a fellow TL'er! He contacted me out of the blue a couple of days ago after us not being in touch for years after seeing me in school, and apparently he's a very good sc2-player now (though I've yet to test that ;D)!
Cheers to anyone reading, and I hope I'll see some of you at O'Learys on Saturday!

Bonus just because I recently met an alarming amount of people that hadn't seen this :
