Your Makoto is pretty scary, and you block better than most Makotos. But you gotta settle your internal struggle and stay loyal to one color! Color loyalty is what defines top players in 3s, imo.

For instance, the first combo I've been trying to learn for Akuma is crouching m kick, light hurricane kick, hard shoryu. I also try h punch, light hurricane, hard shoryu. I just can't seem to get the timings right on when to execute each move, and I'm also sort of confused as to when you can start doing the necessary steps for each move. Do I hard punch and immediately after I do that, do the down->down back->back for hurricane kick, but wait until the exact moment it hits or blocks and THEN do the light kick input? Or does it all have to flow together and not "pause" on any frames? The same can be asked for the transition from light hurricane to hard shoryu. Forward->down->down forward and then hit h punch exactly when it hits or blocks? If the way I'm asking the question is confusing I'm basically asking if you can divide the directional inputs with the actual punch or kick when in the middle of the combo, or do you just have to time it all to be together?

When you're canceling normals into specials such as in the case of cr. mk or hp -> tatsu you just do it as soon as possible because you're actually canceling the recovery animation into the special move. If you wait till when you actually see it hit its probably too late. When you're comboing the tatsu into the shoryu, this is an air juggle, you're not canceling anything, so you press the punch button right as you're able to perform the shoryuken (do the shoryu motion, then hit fp when you hit the ground from your tatsu). With any sort of combo practicing I recommend breaking them into parts, practicing them seperately, then eventually combing them. So in the case of cr.mk -> lk tatsu - > fp Shoryu, practice cr.mk > lk tatsu, practice lk tatsu > fp Shoryu, and then eventually practice the full combo once you have them both down. tatsu is another name for hurricane kick

I'm really bad at 3rd Strike Agreed on sprite art Some day when I get better at AE though, if you'd like to play on that, would be fun ![]()

1. I'm only playing Ryu until I'm not terrible. It's less fun but I was dividing my time between other characters too much. 2. I need to be more aggressive. 3. I still can't do a full Denjin combo with 50% efficiency. 4. I don't often cancel my low forwards into anything.
