Hi TL'ers,
A small update on my race to masters. Firstly, I switched back to zerg. I thought PvT was loads of fun but I didn't like PvZ as much as i like ZvP. Although it's quickly becoming one of the better MU's on both sides.
I quitted most of my custom games and started hitting the ladder because my MMR was kinda low and since I would like to get to masters fast in season 3, i figured i'd already try and get it up.
I got my bonus pool down from about 800 to 200 and from facing platinum to low master players.
If I could down my bonus pool to 0 I could still get third spot in my division. Huzzaah!
Anyway, I would like to add that although these kind of blogs are pretty boring to read, I'm glad I started writing one and I would advice everyone to do the same. It's a solid way to stimulate yourself and start doing what you're always planning to do. You also reflect on what you have done, which is quite nice too.
bad news: terrans found out about blue flame hellions, seems like I'm welcoming back my roach in all 3 MU's now... Thanks for making it to the bottom, here are some tables for people who don't like hellions/roaches: ┬──┬ ┬──┬ ┬──┬ ┬──┬ ┬──┬ ┬──┬

Please share your secret to ZvP, I struggle mightily. Good luck on getting to masters though. I'm trying my hardest to make diamond, getting close, then tanking my MMR through a bad series of games.
In a side note:
Screw yo tables bro (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

Well, I'm not an expert on ZvP to say the least but I think I know some tricks now. One thing which I found out is that ZvP is very relient on the map you are playing.
Muta ling won't work on backwater for instance, but roach/ling infestor does pretty good.
In general though you want the protoss player pinned in his base as long as possible and forcing his chronoboost on probes rather than collosi/upgrades.
You can choose between either mutas, drop, nydus play or funky infestor stuff. I only use the two first ones. Even when he knows you have drop, just go drop 30 lings in the middle of the game in his base, that's hell for protoss. Baneling drop on the mineral line also works pretty well. Even if they notice it and pull their probes just chase them with your overlord. Make him multitask as much as possible, queuing some overlords to drop some banelings and attack isn't that hard. Defending all those things is.
Sniping his third with a batch of lings and slowing it down is godlike too. This is a good tactic on maps like metalopolis/shakuras etc. When you are too late he will have walled in and cannonned up.
I also always get the melee upgrades now. ZvP changed when people discovered lings are useful.
While you're doing all this harrassing you try and stay alive with some roach ling infestor or muta ling bling. Try and get hive up. Infestor/ultra or infestor/brood lord is very strong and can go toe-to-toe with strong protoss armies.
To know what he is up to in the early game I can just advice you to play protoss yourself, you'll see that you're so gas limited there are only a few options you have depending on the units you make (sentries/stalker/zealots).

Thanks! I'm starting to think my problem is that I'm not harassing enough. I've never really tried ling drops before, but that's something I'll definitely try to work in now. I just need to get out of the mentality that unless I get to 200/200 faster than the toss I can't really move out.
