(Please excuse the fact that the replays were from two different upload sites. I realised that sc2replayed didn't really let me list "GSL Crevasse" in the map field, so I used replayfu instead.
MONDAY:
I played in a small tournament for a laugh. I was up against a Master level Protoss player, and luckily, TvP was my strongest matchup.
I lost 2 - 0. But here's why.
Game 1: Shakuras Plateau - I did some really unorthodox cheese and attempted to proxy 3 rax pressure him with marines, however, he kept sniping them with Stalkers on the midfield. What eventually resulted was a 3 gate robo push which I could definitely not hold.
Game 2: GSL Crevasse - Started off with a 2 rax gasless expand into heavy bio. He did a huge blink stalker push which I had to use SCVs to fend off as well as my remaining Marauders. I just about held with huge worker casualties, and was behind economically for the rest of the game.
He attacked again with a chargelot drop which I fended off with workers and rauders again. However, me being the stupid idiot that I was didn't re-rally my workers back to mine. I checked my base a few minutes later, saw workers standing idle, stupidly presumed that my main was mined out so I sent them to my fourth, on the other side of the map.
Several army clashes later, he prevailed with an insane amount of storms. I couldn't hold both because my economy was very weak, he had High Templar spamming storms everywhere I dared go and Feedbacking every single medivac I had, and because I didn't make a Ghost Academy at all.
On the plus side, I did get 3 - 3 upgrades, stim, concussive shells and combat shields, which is better than nothing I suppose.
TUESDAY:
After doing some games with a Terran practice partner and attempting a TvZ where a few people on the reddit channel tried to advise me on what to do, I realised how much I sucked at Terran and their huge macro requirements. I attempted to play like this again in another TvZ on ladder, which lasted into the late game and resulted in my marine tank army constantly being sniped in pushes as a result of both my awful micro and meeting waves of banelings, speedlings, mutas and infestors hurtling towards me.
I am having doubts if I should even be playing Terran now or if I should either switch back to Zerg or play Protoss. I hate playing the tank marine style because I'm no good at utilising it in combat but at the same time, I realise that I can only really effectively use a heavy bio style against Protoss, meaning I'd be weak in TvT and TvZ. Plus my macro is alright but kinda flawed and I am not exactly great at knowing which build orders to do and transitions either.
