We know the success of shows like State of the Game. Inside the game. Live on 3.
I don't know if a sort of "Community Conference" show would have a similar appeal. Admittedly you wouldn't be talking with really well known people, but possibly well known forum members, reasonably skilled players, and the occasional random person from the tl.net forums.
Random people would need to be screened. I'll propose my ideas for that later .
Other problem is a host. Although I am admittedly quite eloquent (bragging much?) I don't think I bring the eloquence, or notoreity DJWheat or JP do. But furthermore my voice is not much for hosting a show
So this would be my general plan for a show.
1) Host (duh)
2) Community Member (well known)
3) Person Related to topic
4) lesser known community mewmber
5) Not necessarily well known, but minimum of top grandmasters player
A topic would be decided for the episode. For example, the viability of SC2 leagues on mainstream TV (it's easy to make points and counterpoints)
Ask for people interested in talking about this topic, and their general stance on it, to make sure there are conflicting views on what should be controversial topics.
For the lesser known community member(s) require a writeup on their stance to discourage trolling, and worthless shit.
Is this at all viable. Should it be done? Any advice for it?
