Now, I know what you’re thinking,
But SirJolt, you lack the talent and/or intelligence to do such a project justice. Surely Blizzard will blow you out of the water with a series of expensive court cases, leaving you a broken and bankrupt man, weeping bitter tears curled foetal in a gutter.
Now, you're right, but I won't let such simple practicalities as my not being capable get in the way; I'm a renaissance man. I’ll try to pre-emptively answer your questions with this plot summary.
Plot Summary:
The story follows the trials and tribulations of a young American StarCraft 2 player. He’s not extraordinarily talented; he’s just a little guy with a big dream. He’s going to win the GSL. His name is Arthur Tosis. He qualifies quite quickly for Code S, but can’t seem to quite get it together. In a fit of desperation, he visits his brother, hot favourite to win the GSL, Sean “Taste” Tosis.
Sean helps highlight some holes in his game, and points out that he has to work on his creep spread. Arthur goes home, happy with this. Unfortunately for him, Jinro “Double-Idra” Boxer has identified his brother as a threat, and waits until just after Arthur has left the house to take his opportunity to eliminate the competition, strangling him in the shower, leaving his limp and lifeless corpse blocking the plug, water flowing across the tiled floor.
Framed for the murder of his own brother, Arthur is forced to go on the run. A fugitive from the law, he turns to the only mentor he can; disgraced former progamer SaviOr, who takes pity on the lost soul and trains him as best he can.
In a triumphant climax, Arthur returns to the GSL main stage, shooting and killing a handful of Interpol agents during the car chase leading to the studio. He mounts the stage and walks into the booth, locking it behind him. The booth, as everyone knows, is made of soundproof bulletproof glass. The Interpol agents agree to let him play in the finals if he leaves. His opponent is none other than Jinro “Double-Idra” Boxer!
During the game, the philosophies of his brother and SaviOr are at war within Arthur, trying to persuade him to cheese and just try to play a straight-up game respectively.
At the crucial moment, the final match, Arthur feels a cold breath across his shoulder, and hears within the soundproof booth a whisper of his brother’s voice, breathy and ethereal, “Watch your creep spread…”
He pumps a round of roaches, he has it won, it’s in the bag, everything is perfect. Arthur knows exactly what he has to do. He selects all his queens and pulls them from their hatcheries, spelling out,
YOU KILLED MY BROTHER
in creep tumours across the centre of the map. Inexplicably, Jinro scans at just the right time to see the words, and immediately leaves without GGing. The crowd goes wild, but Jinro bolts from the booth. Arthur stands up from his seat, leans out the window of the booth, and shoots him as he nears the door.
Interpol agents haul his corpse to prison.
Arthur accepts the GSL trophy and, for just a heartbeat as he lifts it above his head, if you pause the GOM Player, you can see the outline of his brother holding it up beside him.
