Yeah, What Tree monkeys said. I am sorry to hear about your pain, but if your Girlfriend is causing you this about of torment. If you aren't strong enough to break it off with her, I strongly suggest getting friends/family to help support you in breaking off the relationship. You will be better for it no matter how you feel now there are so many other woman and better chances in your future. TL is behind you... end it now before it's to late

You honestly have to be very careful about going to the police, if you do just make damn sure you have some good evidence or some really good witnesses. Without that it becomes of matter of who's story is true and there is no way to predict who will get in trouble.

Why haven't you left her? It's only a girlfriend, you're not married/etc, just walk away and kick her out of your life. If you're old enough to be living with a woman, then it's time to start acting like a grown man. Take responsibility for yourself and leave/end it with her. It doesn't matter if it's hard, or if "we don't understand the whole situation"... when someone is being this abusive, it's time to leave.

Take control of the situation, and then you can start taking back control of your life.

Wow I read this and it struck a cord with me. My gf is pretty much the same way except she only gets physically abusive when she drinks but mentally abusive all day everyday. She tries to put my down on everything you mentioned, job, school, my hobbies, my friends. I called the cops once when she started hitting me because I tried ignoring it and she just kept on doing it. Then when I called the police she tried throwing my PS3 and headset in the sink. When the police got there they almost arrested me because they said I must of done something that I wasn't telling them to make her upset. She didn't even get anything for doing it and police gave me a warning?

Such bs.It's hard to leave someone when you're living together too. I live in AZ but I am from VA so I don't have family I can move in with, my friends don't need roommates, and getting another place would be too expensive, so I'm stuck.

Why the hell are you even asking? If this broad is really doing what you say she is, then there's literally no reason to continue this relationship. You're not happy, so why continue?
