The game I played was Infamous, which I got for free thanks to the Welcome Back promotion Sony provided to make up for the month long hack that occured. Because this game is really damn large in file size (7.7 GBs) it took me 3 nights worth of sleep to finish the download. When I was finally able to finish the game, I have grown quite fond of it for a few reasons.
1. The Sandbox Approach
One of the major selling points of Infamous is that you play Cole who was endowed with lightning powers. You have the option of being a hero or a villain. Whichever path you take you will get different variations of your own powers.
2. The challenge
I underestimated Infamous because this game is not a walk in the park. It's not that hard either but it provides a really decent challenge, which I admire. What I am not fond of however, is that there is no instance where I was hardly given a break aside from pausing the game. When I played, I was usually on my toes dodging bullets from Reapers if I am not attacking them. Because of that, my hands were aching like hell.
3. The Story
I heard a lot of good things regarding Infamous in terms of story. So far, I like how the game's plot goes.
Anyways, that's all I have to write for now. I will get back into Starcraft laddering the moment I beat Infamous on my first playthrough. Although chances are my play-style would be damn rusty by then. Still, I could use the rest. :D
