I got two problems that I need to get out of my chest in the hopes that there is someone who can give me the answers I seek.
Problem 1:
This one is definitely minor. Whenever I play some custom games with friends, I usually pick the purple Zerg. For some reason, in-game, the color of my Zerg is green. It is through watching the replay of the match that my Zerg units show the color I chose. Has this ever happened to you, guys? Oh, and same applies whenever I play Versus AI matches, or the SC1 remake of the Zerg Campaign.
Weird.
Problem 2:
This one has been bothering me for a while now. Whenever I play Starcraft 2 with headsets on while listening to music, I get a crackling sound coming from my headphones. I tried lowering the frequency of the sound, I even did some senseless things like change from Windowed Fullscreen to actual Fullscreen. They sound fine whenever I listen to music or play Starcraft alone, but whenever I open both the game and Itunes, the crackling appears. It's pretty frustrating and I have tried to do some research but to no avail as some would say that it has something to do with terrible sound cards, headphones not working right and then some. O_o
Alrighty, now I got that out of the way, time to do something else before I go to bed. Maybe rewatch the TSL3 Finals? I kinda missed the last couple of matches and I wanted to know how Thorzain won. After that, I got one last set of recorded matches I need to watch on the GSL.

I think the first one is caused by this: Your opponent sees your purple, not you. There's an option next to the minimap I believe to change this, I can't speak 100% surely.
The second one I have no clue about.

If you mean you are only green on the minimap, then that is working as intended, you can't change your minimap color. However, if your units are green, you have ally colors on. Here's the button you need to hit.
I can't help with the crackling, but I have experienced weird audio issues from a bad headphone port, so it may be the hardware. It is odd that it only happens with both applications though.

Um, no. I mean, my Zerg units on the main map are colored purple not on the minimap. Which is kinda strange. O_o

I had the audio problem you're facing on an older comp a couple years back. It was caused by the integrated moderboard sound card being terrible and not dealing well with multiple applications playing sound at the same time. Hadn't had any problems since I got a proper sound card.

I dunno about old per se. I am using a laptop that I got 2 years ago. That could be the case because laptops aren't meant for multiple apps running at once.

In the sounds options of SC2 you can reduce the number of sound effects played so this might help. I also prefer to turn off "ambient sounds" and "music" when I'm listening to my own music.

That's what I was saying about the minimap. Your units will always be a bright green on the minimap while you play. You can't alter that. However, when watching a replay that is not the case. Replays can be shared and casted, so there is no special highlighting. It's a design decision by Blizzard, no way around it.
