Summer is upon us and for the hordes of college students on teamliquid, that means summer break! I was originally planning on massing sc2 and try to get to a semi competitive level but then it hit me... why not play brood war instead? Brood war is still a million times more interesting to me (bisu winning in winners league made me so fucking happy that I don't even care he got knocked out of msl) in terms of watching. Playing is frustrating as ever yet winning is so incredibly rewarding. Nothing compares to dragoons melting under siege tank fire ^^
I'll play sc2 every once in a while but brood war will take up the majority of the gaming time.
So I'm asking for around for anyone willing to play with me and just hang on vent. If you are a clan that doesn't mind me only being active for 3 months then I'd be happy to join. Playing iccup solo all the time gets kind of dull.
Before I stopped playing (march of 2010 I believe, near sc2 beta release) I was C+ with terran and C with zerg. That probably puts my protoss around A+ level  . I mainly played terran though and I strive for boring macro style every game (siege expand + 1rax FE!). Maybe I'll try zerg out so we'll see in a few weeks where I am at. I'm probably around D rank right now so anyone willing to play is welcome to message! I will also look through any of the brood war practice partners threads and hopefully I can find a few practice partners.
I can do hamachi, iccup, or bnet.
Msg i4gotmykookie on iccup or bnet for games. Hopefully I can round up a few people willing to play.

Lol simmilar thing happned to me with plans of mass gaming sc2 and deciding to stay BW (sept it was after watching all the osl and msl intros at 3 in the morning that i decided that I just have to stay with BW)

Can you link somewhere to download iccup or bw? I've tried but haven't found a good place to try to dl, so if anyone could help with that, thanks

Was thinking of making the same kind of thread, I'll be happy to play! This summer I will play a looot, so this will be fun! :D I can use skype or teamspeak(teamspeak is good, and sooo easy to join)

fuck yea starcraft summers, last summer was BW all day and night every couple days in a week (but a lot of 3v3 fastests LOL)

you can probably find bw + keygen somewhere. Or fork up 10$ for battlechest (still have my original 10+ year old cd!)
You need reg file + launcher which are on the sidebar

Going to shoot for the blue ranks by summers end. Was my goal when I first started and I fell one rank short
