Short and sweet, any reccomendations?
I already got tiny wings and im about to get angry birds
But really, i'm looking for those "hidden" games which are actually genuinely full of gameplay. I think iphone games are cool because of the fact they are one of the few games in the market which are correctly priced (i.e they are cheap and usually reflect what you are buying) as opposed to other consoles where games are rediculously expensive
Having said that, i wont mind paying 5 pounds (8 dollars?) for a game thats really good and will keep me occupied for ages
Any suggestions?

Phoenix Wright is the best game I've played in 3-4 years. Not the best iPhone game I've played, THE BEST GAME I've played.
Puzzle Quest 1 & 2 are great if you haven't played them. You can get the trial for free to try it out.
I finished Battleheart. It's not that long but I've gotten 20 hours+ on it by grinding the endgame for the best items and I'm still far away from having a complete set.
Cut the Rope is a snap buy if you haven't played it. I've gotten all stars on every level and they keep releasing new levels for free. It's simple and fun.
Zenonia2 caught my interest for a little bit, but I never finished it because it got pretty boring.
Civ Rev sucks. Osmos kind of sucks. Fruit Ninja really sucks.
Hope that helps a little bit.

cut the rope is a game i've played recently and it's fun if you like puzzles.
rat on run is free and super mindless but its great for playing on the go because you can just pick it up anytime
auditorium is an epic game i dunno if its free but i definitely recommend it.
fling is fun, another puzzle game, and they have a free version
i'm all about the free games baby.

thought puzzle quest 2 was also fun in the beginning but got boring later on >_<

Angry Birds is kind of... boring lol Dunno why it's so popular
That being said, I don't really know any mobile games I know a lot of my friends were playing a scrabble like game with each other though

Oh i guess i should mention, i'm not really the biggest fan of puzzle games but it seems the majority of the games out there are just that haha

Infinity Blade is the best mobile game graphically, also a fairly decent game in its own right. NBA Jam is pretty awesome even if you don't like basketball games. Doom Resurrection is pretty good as a on-rails shooter. Simcity is simplified greatly (ground is flat) but still a great game. Secret of Mana is a decent port but the control scheme is a bit annoying. Dungeon Hunter is a solid Diablo-esque game.

Don't really like any of the Angry Birds games all that much, but they do give you a ton of content and update pretty regularly so its definitely worth the price.
My favorite games so far are probably fragger, words with friends, street fighter IV, plants vs zombies, and doodle jump.
Hope that helped
EDIT: Oh and if your into RPGs FFIII is one of the more expensive games out there but its extremely good. (Its the exact same as the DS version and I'd say they did a great job of porting it to the iphone)

Yeah, tower defense games are a dime a dozen (jk one to three dollars a single one usually...just meant that there are a LOT) iirc
Check out Gameloft's games in general, since the company makes very nice games with amazing graphics :3

Latest games I have been playing are Tiny Wings, Boost 3D and Drop7. Shibuya is good too.
Angry Birds is of course the poster boy iPhone game.
If you like Super Nintendo classics, Secret of Mana.
I personally really like Cave's games. They are pretty good conversion of the arcade shmups: ESPGaluda 2, DoDonPachi Resurrection, I think they are also working in DeathSmiles. They also created Mushihimesama Bug Panic, an original iPhone game.

Battle for Wesnoth is an incredibly complex game and worth 100's of hours of gameplay. Each campaign will take you atleast 10+ hours and there are many of them. It's a strategy RPG with tiles but the battle system is very complex. It takes a little while to get into it but it's HIGHLY recommended if you're into those kinds of games. Also if your character dies, that character is gone forever so you'll be investing alot of time into them. All in all cannot recomend this game enough. Before it was $.99 but now its $4.99 I believe.
