I am not sure why I wrote this blog but I just felt like doing it. Do not know how interesting this is for the readers to be honest, but whatevz. In an hour im leaving for an all-nighter at my school consisting of videogames and movies. My teacher is a huge geek and he's studied both game design and movie science (not sure what the correct term is). He has as said arranged a game/movie-night from 8 to 3 in the morning with his 2 classes. There will be 6 classroomes with different movies and games to play, consisting of everything from Super Mario to Splinter Cell.
Sadly there are not many fans of games in my class, but you have to attend it or else you have to go to school the next day (the ones attending gets a free day, nice bonus). So I think it will be a lot of fun even though you have those girls that allways whine and all they do is sit on Facebook and text. The teacher split us into several groups and my group is ofcourse called "Protoss" (gaaah, why Protoss. why u no like zerg) as he knows im a fan of sc:bw and sc2 (he played bw in his youth). Pizzas will be ordered, candy will be consumed and fatigue will ensue.
If you're wondering I'm at my last year of High School and if you see any error please correct me. The blog will probably be updated tomorrow.

Hahaha, that is just plain epic. That's gotta be awesome really, wish I had a teacher like that :D If there's SC there, you should be awesome and hook some girls with your (maybe?) high APM, explain to them what it means, and let them imagine what you could do with such fast fingers
na, but I can't explain how awesome that sounds really, I'm last year at my High School aswell, and if this happened here it would be awesome :D Props to your teacher!
EDIT: Oh, and update this blog with results!

Cool story If I ever teach I am going to pound the FEAR OF AIUR into the little nubby nub geeks (in the most teacherly way of course)

Seems legit, but I don't know why it still bothers me for reasons I do not know. Maybe it's different in Norway

Omfg that is amazing. Does everyone in the class get on really well? I just couldn't see it being organised without everyone being good friends.

Hm, well. You just hang out with the gang you usually hang with. When we're doing group work we probably have to be with the assigned groups (three from last year students and three from second year students). If I know the teacher right it will probably be unorganized as fuck and we will probably be able to do whatever we want (inside the different classroomes) most of the time.

I love all the shit that you're telling us is gonna go down there (perhaps not splinter cell).
Despite that, i still wouldn't show. No way, totally inappropriate by the teacher to suggest this unless grades have already been finalized. Not even on a school trip would this be OK. Teacher needs to get some friends his own age and find out some better way to introduce his students to the world(s) he loves.

All I know is that I'm going to get a day off because I am staying up all night playing games with my friends. The students thinking it is "inappropriate" can just show up to school tomorrow and won't really miss anything or get any marks.

What the freakin hell, I wish I had a teacher like him in high school, but something like that would never fly in the US. What class is this for by the way?
-- you're still in high school, so don't you still have to show up for your other classes?
|
So if you DON'T go to game night you have to go to class the next day and if you DO go to game night you have the next day off?
I wish I had a teacher like that in high school ...

You can't believe how jealous I am right now. Going to study Digital Arts and Entertainment next year. I hope there will be events organized like that. :D :D

Sounds sweet, I once had a French teacher in middle school that referred to all of us (her students) as "zerglings" once. My friend and I were both into BW at the time and freaked out when she said this. It turns out she had played the game too. Nerdy teachers are the best!

We had a similar thing with our class, we had a movie night with sleepover, pizzas and breakfast (and ofc the day off the next day) as a "happy graduation event" at the end of 9th grade. It was epic! Wish we had video games aswell! Bring your camera man! I want some pics :D

Sounds badass. Cool teacher. Make the most of the night!
