So I'm replaying the campaign and I can't make sense of the cinematic after the mission Supernova. Valerian's hijacked Mengsk's capital ship and at least two other BCs as well and comes out of warp jump right in front of the Hyperion.
-Raynor notes that their shields are down and orders Matt to board the Bucephalus.
There are three fucking battlecruisers to one, and for all Raynor knows Mengsk has come here himself (he even assumes this since he oh-so-dramatically prepares a singular bullet in his revolver for Mengsk) to kill him. Does having your shields down mean you can't fire your lasers? What's going on? Anyone with a brain would have turned tail and run or yamatoed the shit out of the Bucephalus.
-Valerian sends troops against Raynor's men when they board the Bucephalus.
Again, this makes no sense. If Valerian was trying to be all dramatic, he should have ordered everyone to stay out of the path to the Bucephalus' bridge instead of wasting lives. On top of that, what if his guards had killed Raynor, Tychus or Matt? Valerian obviously doesn't want them dead.
I don't expect much out of a story in a video game, but BW was excellently written (at least I thought so when I played the campaign as a elementary schooler) and this cinematic seems like a complete lapse on the part of the developers, unless I'm understanding everything horribly wrong. Can someone please tell me I'm wrong?
