I'm starting to like creating maps for SC2 but I've got absolutely no clue as to where I should start -_-


I've got a few ideas in mind and have drawn out a couple of maps but when I open up the map editor I'm really stumped as to what to do / how to do it.

Is there a comprehensive guide on how to create a melee map?


edit: i /have/ tried searching for this and have had no luck

I thin you should look at other maps people have made, and take a good hard look at them. o: Take what you can from those and formulate your own!

Go here and ask the exact same questions. People will link you a ton of topics about stuff you should know before you even open the editor and some other helpful things. Also it always helps to draw a map idea somewhere. Also when you're in the editor, just play around with all the options a bit to get the feeling.
