I noticed from the video that you have amazing awareness of your position on the field and the situation of the game (at least, this seems true from the highlight videos). Much better than average highlight video. This is something that I've found very few players to have, and the ones that do are generally far more successful on the field than their athletic abilities would lead you to believe. I've tried teaching that type of stuff to players, but I've found that conditioning and teaching them to be more athletic is far easier. It seems to stem from some natural talent and understanding of the game, and you can't really teach natural talent to someone. There are many people who have natural athletic abilities, but a natural talent for a position in Football is a differnet thing. This might be different at the highest levels, so take anything I just said with a grain of salt. If I was scouting for players, I can think of many different scenarios where I'd be trying to find people like you, who would likely be undervalued from the numbers-only approach. This is especially true for a team that likes to have tons of recieving threats, such as the Bengals, or a team trying to find some good backup recievers, even though they don't want to commit a draft pick to it, possibly a team like Indy at the moment. I'm sure that even if you don't get drafted, you still have a shot at making a team. Just keep working at it, and impress people when you get your shot in the training camps! Good luck, and don't waste such an awesome opportunity! | ||
