I'm curious. BW was such an undemanding game, has SC2 changed things? Will we see SC themed watercooled build logs popping up soon on TL.net?

My computer sucks ass so I can't play SC2.

I'm interested only because I want to start grabbing PC parts when I have the chance to start building a system that can support SC2.

Sc2 doesn't really even require too much. Almost anything core2duo and better + a low/mid ranged gpu can run it.

I'm obsessed with graphics always being on the highest setting, even if if makes my computer lag a little.. It makes me sad the pros play with the graphics down

^^ that's the only time I ever follow the current technology/hardware trend. As soon as I purchase my new desktop/laptop I stop paying attention. Honestly I used to be obsessed with "keeping up with the hardware" but its really too much effort to do so. I feel like new generation of video cards and processor spew out so fast that it's nearly impossible to keep up (not to mention their weird model numbers).

I voted that I take a strong interest. Ever since I first put a new GPU in my old HP desktop when I was in 6th grade I've been obsessed with trying to get the latest and greatest. (Budget permitting)

In a perfect world I would consider myself an enthusiast, but I don't have the money for it. And I don't want to spend my paycheck on just my computer anyways.

I try to keep at the top of mid-range the best I can.

I personally don't have the money to make a major gaming computer but I help my friend who does. He doesn't know a lot about computers but he is major into gaming and he plays pretty much everything to ever come out on the PC. He has the top everything. I think when it comes to how good your computer is, it depends on the money you have and what you are playing. I've seen sc2 play on a lap top (lowest settings it could go and crawled a little) but it still played enough. *shrug* Like I said, just your preference I guess?

And you need a good graphics card. Pretty much anything that isn't intel will run it, but there are lots of computers with intel graphics because its so much cheaper
