I don't know if it is an alredy discussed issue..but however..i have the sad feeling that Maphack has been released...look at this user:
User Freelife @ Europe
Why am i saying this? I know map hack accusation is serious issue but: -he scouts me position immediatly (cross positions) -when i start my hidden tech he send a marine to the exact place where my hidden tech is (he made a long route) -at delta quadrant he find out the pylon with dark templar warped in (it is really not unusual..but for me is quite hard to believe that you move ALL your army to scout for that) -not to mention that he make the perfect counter (but that could be also luck)
I alredy tried to look from his POW but it seems to never look my base. What do you think?

Yea there have been maphacks out for a while.

Doesn't sound like he map hacked at all to be honest. Sounds like you cheesed and you feel cheated because you played against someone who scouts a lot.
Scouting cross position is fairly normal. Some players like it because it gives them vision of the middle of the map where people often proxy.
There are common areas for hiding tech, and good players scout these areas when they smell something funny.
Oh no, he found your pylon after already knowing that you were doing dt tech? Especially in SC2, I doubt it is uncommon to move the whole army. Scouting with a just a single unit is something that takes time for players to learn. 1a
THE PERFECT COUNTER... You mean he got detection when he smelt tech?

yes maphacks are out, no if the guy never once takes a look at your base there is no reason to assume he was hacking.
|
I watched his player cam and he didn't look at your base or something strange like that (don't know if maphack would cover that up or not). He was really suspicious and scouted loads with both the scout scv and his first marine. He moved his marine many times clicking the natural several times, then the main right base and then finally finding your tech. Prior to that he had seen an probe leave that base though so it was at that point obvious.
I do not believe this guy used maphack.

I was under the impression that maphacks can no longer be detected using the players cam. Is this wrong?

Maphack was released like a 7 days into the beta, in fact the very same maphacks are still running undetected (good job blizzard). As for that replay yeah he might have been, the marine scout seemed pretty arbitrary.

not quite true. a skilled hacker can easily avoid this by just glancing at the mini map or using mineral/unit counting tools.

Some people choose cross position to scout first. I've even done it, even though it's not really a great idea.
-when i start my hidden tech he send a marine to the exact place where my hidden tech is (he made a long route)
He scouted everything else first, and he noticed (unless that's a result of camera spoofing, I don't even know how that works) that your Probe went off that way very early when he went to scout.
-at delta quadrant he find out the pylon with dark templar warped in (it is really not unusual..but for me is quite hard to believe that you move ALL your army to scout for that)
Pros still use their whole army to stop drops, when not even all of their units can hit Medivacs and it's only one of them. That means nothing really. He also saw that a Probe moved out of there with his Hellion at the Tower, I don't think anyone would misinterpret that unless they were clueless.
-not to mention that he make the perfect counter (but that could be also luck)
That's where it gets iffy. There are other reasons to get a Raven though, such as PDD or ADT.
I will say it's suspicious but I really don't think you have enough evidence to support that he was hacking.

I know map hack accusation is serious issue but: -he scouts me position immediatly (cross positions) Some people choose cross position to scout first. I've even done it, even though it's not really a great idea. In the wise words of BigBalls:
The idea behind scouting here is, you scout in the direction that will change your strategy. Under normal circumstances on LT, I would 1 gate while on guillotine I would 2 gate. However, in the special close position scenario on LT and far position on guillotine, I would adapt my normal strategy.
Therefore there will often be times (depending on your strats) where you should scout to a base other than the closest one. However, at the lower levels people will just scout however the hell they want (and by lower levels I mean pretty much everyone who isn't in contention for a top finish at a major event).
So yea don't get too suspicious simply because of scouting direction.
