Nah, I was in one of the best guild in Europe in WoW and the thing with wow is more that the team is as strong as its weakest member. The problem was always one or two guy among the 40 or 25 people that was not good enough and it fucks your attemps.
There were very little challenges that require teamwork in wow, 90% of the boss fights required just everyone to do his thing good, and sorry but doing your own shit is a lot easier than BW and SC2. The issue was always some retard not being focus enough among the 25 people (or 40). There was actually some really tough things that required creativity and good thinking when the fights were bugged as hell at their release, but since wotlk it is nearly not the case anymore.
For arena though, yes teamwork and strategy were necessary but in the end there was just a lot of random numbers to screw things up which made me just lose faith in the competitive aspect of it.
In my opinion, WoW doesn't require much talent (you just have to find anough people talented enough, and this is the hard part : managing and recruiting for your guild) but it's still a fun game...
