Hi there TLers!!

So the past 6 weeks has been soooo busy for me with my final year of University and applying for graduate careers meaning I haven't been able to concentrate fully on my SC'ing.

Nevertheless, I was determined to learn more about StarCraft and have done so simply through watching streamed pro play; GSL, MLG, Go4SC2 etc etc.

I also switched to Terran in the latest patch, largely due to my new found preference in controlling when the first attack will take place, and being able to harass in so many different ways.

So; my journey has been hotting up over the past 3 days; I've been able to play quite a lot and wait for.... have FINALLY been promoted out of Bronze :D

My request to whatever readers I have now - can you observe my replays and let me know how YOU think I'm doing?

This blog is as much about your interactivity as it is watching my progress through the ranks, and obviously any advice aids me in progressing further!

Below is my last match in Bronze - a TvT where I endlessly harassed with drops; something which seemed to work a LOT better for me than going straight up Viking/Tank etc

A further question - how far do you think I can go?

I'm 21, a student, an ex-pro FPS player, and am dedicated.

Did not watch your replay, but the answer to your question is - you can reach diamond.

Just give in to the practice and multitasking.

1. It looks like you wanted to use your scv/depot to check for proxies, but the spot you checked isn't likely. It's definitely a good idea to look for cheese, but check the most important places (top corner of your base and below the cliff near your expo on Scrap Station).

2. Regarding drops: the point of a drop is to attack your opponent where he's weak, such as in his base if his army is in the middle of the map. If he has his entire army in his base, dropping there isn't a wise move. Use an scv to scout the map and/or scan his main before committing to a drop, and be willing to load up and fly away after doing some damage.

3. Hotkey your units as much as possible. One huge beginner mistake you're guilty of is losing track of units in random places on the map. You send a dozen marines to your mineral line to fight off a banshee at 12:30 and then just leave them there. Hotkeys will help you with micro too.

I could make some comments about upgrading, expanding, etc. but honestly your opponent was so bad that you could have rolled him by doing anything. You might be better off posting a replay of you losing in silver.

Decided to finally do my placement matches on my US account... went 4-1, placed in Gold. First match was only lost due to dropped connection ¬_¬

I am always looking for practice partners!

I am SeGi.192 on both EU & US (coincidence to have same ID#?)

Keep following my progression - my current goal is to be playing in big online tournaments (e.g. Go4SC2) by Christmas!
