I was lucky enough to attend BlizzCon and get autographs from Tastosis9 (haven't caught up on the TL posts to know if someone's already given them another nickname) after the finals, and there was a very reserved and polite Korean gentleman in glasses waiting on the side, and Tasteless kept pointing him out and saying "Do you know who that is?" to people asking for his (Tasteless's) autograph and then saying something that I couldn't make out (sounded like he said "That's Jon" or "Joe" or "Juan" something).
Anyway, I think the guy he was pointing to was actually BoxeR, but I couldn't get the nerve to find out, but I'm also pretty sure Tasteless was _not_ saying "BoxeR" or "Lim Yo-Hwan" (though maybe when I thought he said "Joe" or "Juan" he was actually saying "Yo-Hwan"), as people were just kind of nodding at the guy, and not freaking out or asking the possibly-BoxeR guy for his autograph.
Anyway, was I a fool for being so intimidated that I didn't find out for sure if it was BoxeR and get his autograph? (I know I'm already a fool for not being able to recognize BoxeR on sight, but sometimes in person people don't look exactly like their pics.)
Edit: 99.9% sure it was actually Junkka.
Edit 2: To reiterate (from the next to last reply on this first page), I want to emphasize that I don't actually think Tasteless is meanspirited enough to pull a prank like this. I mean we all love the game, so I would think that he'd definitely tell people that it was BoxeR if he was. I was just confused because the guy kinda looked like the pics of BoxeR that I saw, like the one above [actually below] with the glasses.

Boxer was not wearing glasses... it might've been the gomtv korean translator?
|
................. Really?
|
Im sure if it was actually boxer then nobody would would be going for tastosis's autograph and everyone would be crowding around boxer (or thats what I would hope while I would go quickly get an autograph from day 9 )

gomtv korean translator = junkka?

In short, yes.
Get some self confidence man. Just because they are well known in the eSports community doesn't mean they're any better, or higher, or whatever than you. They're all people who share a common passion with you. Not to mention the fact that you paid an arm and a leg to go to Blizzcon, there's no reason why you shouldn't have taken advantage of the opportunity.
EDIT: I don't know why you changed your post

No, the guy was really tall, and the translator was kinda short. The translator guy also looks nothing like BoxeR, and this guy really kinda did (as compared to these pics.
And BoxeR does wear glasses:
The guy looked like him... damn.

There is a john who wears glasses that works for GOMtv as a translator. He wasn't trolling. Boxer doesn't wear glasses.

It was funny, Day[J] had the largest crowd. Artosis and Tasteless was done with their autographs, and Day was stuck for at least another half hour until he said hi to everyone waiting for him and signed their stuff. He (and everyone) was awesome!

Jun(kka), who tasteless and artosis call John/Jun, is actually very tall and kneels during the interviews iirc.

You sure you know the translator they mean? Junkka from GSL, not the random guy that was translating at the finals today.
Trying to find a picture...

I know, I know. I just didn't want to seem like an idiot for mistaking someone for BoxeR. I mean if Day[9] could feel like this...

Sorry, I just wanted to include the "Joe"/"Juan" part, which I'm glad I did because maybe it was Junkka and not BoxeR, and boy would I have felt silly!

Sorry, I did mean the random translator they had on stage.
Maybe that was it. He (maybe-not-BoxeR) did seem to speak decent albeit accented English, and I don't know if BoxeR speaks English.
And I actually saw BoxeR yesterday from afar with his actress girlfriend just walking through the crowd, but wasn't close enough to be able to say today whether or not it was the same guy I'm talking about now.

Boxer didnt wear glasses when he played Fruit Dealer. Where were you when they played? You must've saw how he looked like :\
|
@Zett, the guy I saw was today after the NEXGenius/Loner finals. I didn't see BoxeR except from afar (see above) yesterday, but from the pics on the other post I knew he wasn't wearing glasses, but that doesn't mean he couldn't put them on today, though I think it's more likely it's Junkka now...
@netherDrake - definitely not NEXGenius.

Found a picture:

He's the guy with the glasses on the right.
EDIT: I also found out that Junkka is 184 cm tall (6'1").
Boxer is 180cm so about 6' even.

@kojinshugi - yeah, I think you're right. From the pic I can't tell how tall he is and in person his face was less round looking, but that could just be from the camera angle of the pic you posted. He was definitely very tall for an asian guy (I'm asian and I'm 5'7").
Okay, I think mystery solved. Thanks kojinshugi!
Move along, everyone. Nothing to see here...
[That's just me apologizing for this silliness, not a hint to close the thread. If people want to mock me for my mistake, I'm down.... Am I crazy for thinking Junkka and BoxeR are remotely similar looking for two people I've never seen in person before this weekend?]
