-We're increasing roach range. This will allow roaches to be more effective in large groups, giving the zerg more options in the mid to end game.

As a zerg player, im all for these buffs and nerfs
But as a player i will share my opinion on them

Roach Range Increase- YES! I always felt that roaches where really easy to kite around when i originally played as terran (this was during practice league for about 40 matches and then i switched to zerg) and as a zerg player stalkers dealt with roaches quite easily so im glad this is changing. Reapers and Hellions being the main thing i use roaches against so this really helps and I think this is a good change

Fungal Growth stopping Blink- This makes perfect logical sense to me. You get green moss spewed over your ENTIRE body/armor/w.e the hell you are, from head to toe so why should you move? So logically makes sense for me, and in the game when you fungal 30 stalkers and they just blink into you or away from you and you just want to go ARRGGHHHH and scream into your mic hoping they hear how mad you are

Supply Depot needed for Barracks-This really dents most cheese plays and mass reaper plays. Really like this all round. Most terran builds start off with a depot anyway. It also makes terran like protoss in the sense that protoss needs to make a pylon ALWAYS before they can warpgate, now terran must ALWAYS make a supply depot before a barracks, and this is similar in zerg, but very different at the same time, you need to sac a drone to build your pool. So all the races seem to even out in someway there.

Reaper speed needing a Factory-This is just directly aimed at that dominant reaper rush/push/harass and im unsure if this was needed. Reaper speed finishes at (nearly) the same time as metabolic boost. And speedlings are faster than upgraded reapers, but reapers can kite zerglings like crazy so maybe thats the justification of this change, im pretty iffy on this change, im unsure if it was necessary.

Health increase on Zerg Buildings-This is really needed i think. If it effects all buildings that would be perfect! Zerg buildings are very squishy compared to other races buildings.
Extractors have 500 hp 1 armor, Assimilators have 450hp 450 shield 1 armor and Refineries have 500hp and 1(+2) armor. Yes it is a simple building but its just an example that the zergs extractor is weaker than the other buildings, and im sure there are more, hence the buff

Overall im quite happy with these changes (bias?) lol
But what do you guys think? Im sure terran players are upset that their rush tactics are being dented

Dislike the reaper changes. Rather than tweak a a strat, blizzard made it completely non viable. This has become a theme throughout the patches.
Morrow on ZvP: "I'm not very confident in general vs Protoss because of the imbalance (Yes its imbalanced, get over it)."

As a Terran, it seems like all Zergs are just gonna 14 hatch without giving a fuck, unless we start doing some brutal cheeses, like 7 depot, 9 rax bunker (which is slow as fuuuuuuuuuck anyway).

A bit frustrated with the roach range buff, as that means I MUST have maruaders out to counter them. No wall off will save me here!

And of course the reaper opening is completely dead thanks to the fac change. Might as well have taken the tech out altogether.

I spose I'll have to either siege fast expand or no-gas fast expand from now and just accept the Zerg will make a hundred thousand drones. Or pray they cannot counter hellions, which most of them can.

Wait, SubtleArt, what? Last patch was just subtle tweaks (except tanks, which mostly just affected tvp and made TvT more interesting).

The developer Dustin Browder did say that the reason for these changes is because they find that zerg is underplayed and most zergs are lower in the ladder and struggling to rise in the ranks, so we can assume that this is to encourage more zerg play and help out noobies like me :D

I think they overnerfed the reapers just a little bit. =\

Also that range buff on roaches is pretty crazy to, not only are they now unkiteable by reapers but the protoss roach proof wall wont work anymore.
All play and no work makes Jack unemployed.

Because in lower leagues, not only do lots not wall, but lots don't scout. It'll be a problem in lower leagues.

What the hell? I play zerg an think all these buffs combined are too massive!

No more reaper harrass, no more zerg proof protoss wall + FE.

And structure health buffs?

Keep in mind that these are 'planned changes' which means that they are not certain. Also not there is not date set for these changes, so they may come with HotS...
