I need more sleep, only about 10 hours for the past 2 days
So as a result I wont be laddering tonight, im way to out of it to ladder successfully. Early night for me :D

Although yesterday (AKA 2am this morning) i finally got a 5 win streak on the ladder :D FINALLY! came close to 5 win streak 3-4 times and im always counting how many games in a row i have won so whenever i hit that game where i CAN get the achievement...i completely panic and do stupid crap like 6 pools...and loose and get really angry.

But this time...OHH THIS TIME! >D
now incase you are wondering or are thinking "LUL THIS GUYS A LOSER ONLY 5 WINS IN A ROW>>>>" and so on, this achievement meant alot to me because i set it as my benchmark. Once i hit that i knew i had gotten better at both starcraft and controlling my thoughts while on an adrenaline rush

I knew it was the game where i can finally get a 5 win streak and prove to myself...i had become a better gamer And the whole game i was constantly thinking, Make drones, make overlords, dont get supply capped, scout the front, make drones, make... and so on, and when i won that game...OH MAAANN was i beaming! It was just such a good feeling for me! this may not be very amazing to you top tier level players with huge game winning streaks but for me...Best feeling from sc2 yet :D

surprising to me is the fact that over the past 25 games i have only lost 8 ladder games :O
but im confused about how the ladder actually works...
im currently 15th, and i have 705 points...and the distance to #1 on my division is a guy with over 1100 points! D:
it makes me wonder, why is that guy still in bronze?!
Is it really THAT HARD to get into the next league?
I see gold and plat players with like 900 points and similar league wins to this guy in my division.
So that has me really confused and a little worried.

Latest Hate Map : Kulas Ravine
Man i hate this map. Its not a bad map for zerg its just so annoying when a T player plants thors and seige tanks (and in mass) on that ledge above your natural! Fast expanding nightmare. Its not completely undealable(?) with its just really friggin annoying! Same with lost temple but it seems to happen LESS on that map then Kulas.

Well time for a replay upload;
I did lose this game, and im 90% sure why. Thors...rape...mutalisks :D ... and yet i continued to mass mutalisks with the thought in my head..."Whats better than mutalisks? MORE mutalisks" and that didnt work
[image loading]

Anyway guys i think im going to go watch a movie or something then crash for the night.

GL, HF, Peace

PS: If you are bothered can you guys leave rating feedback so i know how my blog postings are going? thanks in advanced to all that do

7 hours a day is a minimum for me, but i guess it varies from person to person (and age plays a role too).

On-topic: Gratz to OP and good night, i got the 5 win streak in beta but haven't earned it back now when the game went retail >_<

Kulas is a piece of shit map, i get cheesed on it alot and when i don't get cheesed i get raped cause of the narrow terrain. It doesn't matter which race i play, i find it too tight to play for all races.

I sleep a broken 5-6 hours a day... everyday. so full 10 hours in two days is actually quite nice.

Sleep is pretty weird in that more is not necessarily better, apparently sleeping 9 hours would leave you feeling more tired during the day than sleeping 6 hours, i have no idea of how the mechanisms work to acomplish this but its strange.

Well, the way I understand it is we have cycles in our sleep, that generally last about 90 minutes. If we are woken up in the middle of a cycle, we will feel exhausted and shit for the rest of the day. Our bodies wake us up automatically after completing enough cycles, but any interruptions and you can throw your system out of wack. If you have 4 cycles (6 hours) its a lot better than having 5.5 cycles and waking up in the middle of one.

DEAR LORD

I watched your replay:

YOU DID NOT LOSE BECAUSE YOU MADE TOO MANY MUTA
NO
NO
NO

You lost because of two things

1. MAGIC BOX! Learn how to do it! It burns my soul to see mutas engaging 4+ thors without magic box. You would have totally crushed that nub if you just used magic box. All you have to do is let your muta spread out naturally, then before you engage the thor tell them to NOT attack move, but instead move past and over the thor, then when the spaced out muta are directly over the thor ball press hold position. This trick REMOVES the splash damage bonus thors get vs muta and easily makes the battle 4x better for the muta.

2. SPEND YO MONEY FOO! Your expansion timing and play was solid, but you got up to 6k minerals.......SIX-THOUSAND! Thats TWO HUNDRED AND FOURTY LINGS! I think those could have helped you out....

If you EVER see your money approaching 2k.
1. Spend as much as you possibly can, it doesn't matter if you are making units that aren't optimal, something is FAR better than nothing.
2. As Z, throw up 2-3 expansions IMMEDIATELY. Don't even worry if you feel you may not be able to defend them all, if one of them survives for 3 minutes you have made your investment back. If they all survive you have doubled your production capabilities. Especially in bronze level, if you had thrown up 3 expos when you hit 2k in this game you would have FACEROLLED your opponent.

Oh, the third thing you need to work on majorly is scouting.

You had no idea what he was doing until your roaches snuck into his base, UNACCEPTABLE. What if he had been going banshee? You would have instantly lost the game.

On Kulas your first or second OV should ALWAYS be hovering over the highground expansion near their choke. Like this:

Red is where your OV's should stay to scout composition and when they move out and when they take the highground expo.

Later in the game you must establish map vision to know what the hell they are doing as well. Like this:

Some nice safe spots. Now you know when he expos or goes to drop.

The green arrow is where your overlord or overseer should ALWAYS be, ready to sac himself into the enemy base when you enter the midgame. If you ever think to yourself "what exactly is he doing right now?" and you don't know 98%, this OV goes to his death on a glorious kamikaze run. Have him already positioned and ready to go. You can use changeling too!
In Hungry Hungry Hippos there are no such constraints—one can constantly attempt to collect marbles with one’s hippo, limited only by one’s hippo-levering capabilities.
