[H]Comp Freeze

Well I didn't think i could post this in tech support forum so i'll post it here.

Ok so I was trying to play my friend in SCBW, and randomly it freezes my computer. I can't Alt Tab, Alt F4, Ctrl Alt Del, or anything. The music keeps playing, and i have to restart my computer every time it happens. On the other side, It just has me disconnected but when they press the button nothing happens, and they're stuck in the game until I restart my computer. I have Windows 7 x64 which is probably why, but is there anyway to fix this?

I think I saw a thread on this but it was old, and i don't think it answered my question.

That happens to me too (yes it's Win7 x64). One of my "fixes" (or maybe it's a superstition) is to close all internet browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE, whatever it is) before launching SCBW. I haven't crashed since.

Has never worked for me.

I seem to never crash if I use windowed mode though. Recently I've tried using full screen, but alt tabbing to my Task Manager after I open it and set the affinity to just one of my cores. Haven't crashed since, but I haven't played too many games recently.

I was getting this problem. Freezes after about 10 to 20 minutes. I disabled Resident Shield ("Resident Shield works in the background scanning all files that you work with") in AVG Anti-Virus and the problem went away immediately. It may be coincidence, but it froze three times in one hour, I disabled Resident Shield (other virus scanners likely have similar things) without changing anything else on my computer, and played the rest of the day happily. BW hasn't frozen since, even after being open for six straight hours.

this works for x86 like a charm dunno about x64

just open iccup launcher, then run the bat file then play bw, when you're done playing bw hit any key in the command window :D

save this into a bat file

a big part of the problem is explorer
