I'm one of those generic diamond players, I was low D/High D- on iccup. But I felt good on SC2, being in diamond and all. (I was knowingly improving my ego ) In any case I've done rather well, playing random. Ironically I have like 50 wins as T, 48 as P, and like 80 as random. Like 7 as zerg. Lolwut. Can't play zerg.
In any case I"ve lost lots of games stupidly in the last few games. Scouting a baneling bust and not reacting. Owning a guy's main with marauders to be killed by mass repair thor. Being killed 20 minutes into the game three base t to two base z. Just stupid stuff. I won last game vs a guy who it said was favored, but all he did was tank marine. I broke his first push with zergling baneling and then rolled him. (YAY FOR ZERG WIN 7!!) My thought is if this guy is favored, then I must suck really really bad. Which is true. But in any case, I'm just on tilt right now, because of all the stupid losses. Any advice on how to cool down from my streak that brought me from a +5 game win differential to even?
More rage: People are going like one fact, two rax, reactor medivac, I'm on two base as toss, and he owned me bad. Terran's OP I guess I needed the colossi out but :/

Just take a break for the night and come back the next day relaxed and not thinking about it. You probably shouldn`t care about stats as much as you do if you plan to improve at all.

Interesting, I've been playing as random as well, and zerg is easily my best race. ZvZ really is quite tedious though. (Though it decided to throw me in bronze, most of my opponents have been gold+ so I'll probably get ranked up soon <_<)
I don't know what all the people who mention constant all-ins are talking about though, I've barely seen any. Everyone pretty much plays straight up with strats similar to the pros(err, top tier-amateurs, technically.) (Obviously with a much higher degree of error).
+ Show Spoiler +I had an epic(From my noob perspective) PvZ game on scrap station where I must have gotten a dozen overlord kills and an overseer kill with my phoenixes and then just flattened his hydralisks with my chargelots yesterday.

I don't care about stats that much. It's just flustering that Iwas diong well, and seeing improvement. Now I"m seeing degredation lol.

regarding the favored part: Favored means something like the other players estimated skill is higher than your current ladder score. It does NOT mean, that he's better than you, it simply means your score is lower than bnet thinks it should be if you are able to beat this player. check the ladder thread somewhere in the sc2 forums, its explained there. Actually, it is very much possible the other player was told, you were favored in that matchup, too, because his points were lower than they should be if he manages to beat you.
Favored simply does not mean the guy assumed to be better. It's only there to balance the score, which mostly shows how much you play instead of how good you are. It really helps to keep that in mind when laddering, because you don't get additional tilt from seeing your opponent being favored in the loading screen.

This is a bit of a pain but do it and you will see steady improvement Watch every replay, especially those that you lose, and write down at least one solid point that you can take away from the game, make a list, and try your best to NEVER make those mistakes again. Eventually your list will be quite lengthy and your play will be quite neat

Maybe you don't see it this way, but possibly this is just the matchup system working to bring your wins back down to 50%. Making dumb mistakes several games in a row right after a long winning streak could conceivably be attributed to being put under more (mental) pressure by playing against stronger opponents who do small, annoying things that throw you off your rhythm or whatever, which manifests itself as what you think of as dumb mistakes.

Yeah, that's probably it.

haha, I as a Random player as well got something quite similar in stats, like 30 wins Terran 30 wins Toss and 10 wins Zerg^^.
Actually I had 3 wins with Zerg when I started in Gold leage, once Promoted to Daimond I simply lost every game with Z.
Now I rarely drop a game with Z, but loose almost all my games by stupid mistakes.
The explanation I got for this is simple. Zerg is the race you have to learn the most about, even if it has the smallest unit deversity. My play with Zerg developed so far, it is no more longer comparable with my gold league play back than.
As to loosing to stupid stuff, welcome to daimond. On this high lvl - every small Mistake is punished. You probably did many mistakes before, but your enemy was not good enough of a player to punish you for this, now everything is punished. Be thankful, you get the chance to improve your play and realise your mistakes.
As to watching Replays, no matter if win or loose, watch both sides as you play random, and have a look at the little details. Even if you felt like you pwned that friggin noob, watch the game out of his view and see if you see a little detail you like and want to copy.
