After 2 months of incredible stress and hard work I have to say I am extremely please with Green forest lan .

Across the board it was a huge success.

That isn't to say that there were some major kinks, communication problems and general flaws ...constantly.... but over all we had a fantastic event with a ton of participation across the board.

First of all I would like to thank Greenforest for building the booths and sponsoring the event. I would also like to thank Esports United for their hardware donations for the players and the raffle.

Xeris was a huge help throughout the tournament and picked up the slack when I was completely exhausted. It would not have run nearly as smoothly without his efforts.

Psyonic_reaver was right on top of the stream when I was being more or less lazy.

Thanks to Day9 for stopping in to cast for the round of 4 and the finals.

Special thanks to BoboTheLuvRacoon for the ride/hotel (and being awesome) and team EG at large.

Most of all thank you to all the players and spectators who came by and made the event such a huge success. Thank you for your patience as well as your enthusiasm.

I heard that after the first day of the event everyone spontaneously organized a "King of the spectators!" tournament. Hearing that made my week.

I didn't get a hard count but we had well over 100 live viewers for the final as well as 10-15k viewers on the live stream (if justin.tv wasnt error out)

The matches were spectacular across the board and I am hoping that this isn't the last time we see live stages and progamer booths here in the US.

I completely missed out on this event as well and was completely unaware of it. I would have attended if I had known. If it was this successful imagine how big it could be with better promotion.

That looks like a very good thread to me, what more do you want them to do.
It's just that there's so much going on nowadays that it's very easy to miss some tourneys, especially when theyre not on the TL calendar (not sure if this was or not)

There was a huge thread about this in the SC2 Tournaments section...

This was my first LAN event ever-and it was just awesome!! I got a bunch of pictures and watching people play in person was great!

I think what happens is that there are so many tournies going on right now and mostof them are so bland and boring that I have a tendency to not check out the SC2 tourney page at all anymore. It sucks because I miss tournaments like this because of it.

I get what you mean -there should have been a TL Community post about the event too, since it's as much of a Community event as it is a Tournament. I didn't find out about the LAN until the group stages.
