So Starcraft 2 is release and I have it, but unfortunately I had to play on a Laptop with lowsetting and still had delays/lag after 50 supply^^
So I ordered a new PC and now the f***ing Graphic Card doenst work. If I go into System and Hardware it doesnt show my GC, Everest doesnt finds my GC and some other Windows Options show me "vga.dll" as GC running, but my Screen is plugged on my GC and not on the Motherboard Onboard GC and Onboard VGA is even disabled in my BIOS.
I am now trying do reinstall ATI Catylst shit for the 10th time (since 10 hours I dont get this problem fixed and I am really thinking about calling the F***ing Shop where I ordered this crap)
System: Windows 2.6.0.6000 AMD Phenom(tm) II X2 555 Processor 3,22 Ram: 3GB GC: - GC driver: vga.dll
BUT IT SHOULD SHOW ME A "HIS HD 5770"

download the driver and install it ? maybe that might help

Are you sure the card is fitted properly in place? Does it show up in the device manager? Did you install it yourself?

Have you tried the Vista Magic Reboot?
|
no i got it from an shop but i first had to fix the DVD burner cause it doenst worked at first start (so wasnt able to install vista) after opening the PC i saw that the cables werent plugged -_- but if the card isnt fitted properly why do i get a screen?
you mean just reboot? yes several times, after every install/uninstall of the drivers.
edit no i dont see the card in the device manager but i see "code 12 (not enough ressource...)" for the PCI EXPRESS

Have you tried shutting off the chip set graphics in the BIOS? Have you tried installing the drivers before inserting the graphics card? Have you called the company that manufactured the graphics card and get technical support? And since you went out and bought a new computer anyway, have you considered taking it to a technician?
I feel your pain. Thanks to a graphics card and an insufficient power supply I've had to delay installing starcraft 2 until tomorrow. I've replaced the motherboard, CPU, RAM, and tomorrow the new PSU arrives.

HIS cards are very cheap. You should probably contact them about an RMA.
Check the Device Manager and if it isn't there then, yeah, you have a broken card.
|
i think i will just send the PC back and will tell them to fuck their self + to give me my money back. i waited 13 days and now i get a big piece of shit for nearly 600€ without windwos/screen/software/mouse...

You can try taking off the card, cleaning the slot it was in from dust and try putting it back in securely to make sure the card wasn't tilted off the slot by weight or something. Is the card being supplied by power from the PSU (6-pin connector)?
|
if your card isn't on how is it sending video to monitor?

If your laptop sucked, you shoulda learned your lesson to buy a good graphics card. Thats the most important thing in gaming.

I had a very similar problem with our laptop. After a couple of weeks it started running slow as all hell. I soon realized that the CPU usage during games was through the roof and realized that it was using software rendering for everything. Lo and behold the entry in Device Manager had just flat-out disappeared!
I had to do a System Restore back to day 1 to fix the problem, but then it happened again about a month later, totally forgot the reason for it (I was playing old games like Thief and stuff and didn't even notice for weeks) and by the time I noticed the System Restore went too far to fix the problem the same way.
So, after reinstalling drivers and pulling my hair out for the billionth time I just reinstalled Windows from the disk that came with it. Had to go through another massive ordeal to find a graphics driver that would work with the custom-built laptop (had to finally download it from some German dude's personal FTP site of all places), but it seems to have fixed the issue. Been going strong for about 3 months now.

yeah really.... I should have learned from it and I shouldn't have used my laptop (thats usually just for work/school) for sc2 and instead I should have just watched streams. getting a new pc for 600€ (without anything only hardware+case), only for sc2 with a HD 5770 thats more than enough to run sc2. really dumb move...
I think now I learned my lesson and next time I'm going to buy a PC made by you.
