I've been thinking about trying leather watches but i'm afraid the leather is gonna smell. The leather will normally be quite stiff and smelling leathery the first few days. But after that it's great. I personally like the leather ones better as the metallic. However there is a drawback to leather. When sweating the leather can give an uncomfortable feeling and you can get an itch on your skin under the strap. Nothing really serious or annoying but good to know in advance. | ||

After the "new car" smell fades in the first few days you don't have to be afraid of it picking up any unwanted smells. If you sniff it closely you can always smell a hint of leather. | ||

If you get leather wet or if you tend to sweat a bit = it's usually not a great choice of a band. I have a few watches and I wear my silicone band as my day-to-day and it's great. My leather band on my dressier watch is for going out. Yo personally at the $100 price range I would personally recommend a swatch just because they have really quality quartz watches while keeping the price down. Fossil is great as well and they provide the movement for many fashion brand watches. GL | ||
