It's fucking crucial I clean it because it's overheating as fuck all the time, help! What Model is it? By Model I mean the sticker on the bottom of your laptop. This is general instructions for opening a sony. You need compressed Air, a screwdriver, and a paper clip. Remove every singly screwdriver that has an arrow pointing to it. You'll have to remove the CD drive, and the latch covering your ram (those are really easy). Take off your keyboard by pressing the latches with a paperclip. They should be either around the function keys or the spacebars. Then you can take off the cover. From there use your can of compressed air to blow off the dust. Make sure you hold the fan still. Here's how I opened mine: http://laststandb.blogspot.com/2010/07/how-to-open-sony-viao-pcg-7t1l.html but you might want to find a guide specific for your model

I decided to remove a few keys to see what was causing it and when i saw how messy it was inside, my jaw nearly dropped. Thus i began my 2-hour quest to clean my keyboard of this filth. After those 2 hours, I was able to get most of what was in there out (although there are still some tiny bits left). I also took this opportunity to clean my keys while i was at it, as they looked like someone let mold grow on them. =\ My fingers hurt from removing/replacing keys, but its well worth the clean keyboard now. In fact, it looks relatively new. It probly might play better too now that most of the filth is gone. =0
