so i have a buddy who hasn't ever seen star wars. naturally i was shocked and quickly made sure he saw all 6 episodes. he quickly became a fan, and so we were talking about jar jar binks the other day. i LOVE jar jar binks - hes made me howl with laughter since i first saw episode one as a kid. but my friend hates him cuz he thinks hes a total retard (lol). but we both agree that C3P0 is an annoying pussy that just talks too much. this made me want to ask the star wars fans on TL these two simple questions: who is your favorite star wars character, and who is your least favorite character?
I was forced to leave a lot of good candidates out (Padme, the Fetts, Qui Gon etc....), but the polls only allow for 12 entries. So please don't hate me if I left ur favorite character out - just use the other button and specify with ur post
O, and feel free to justify why you love/hate the characters you chose
Thanks guys

Least favorite: Jar Jar Binks
Favorite: Boba Fett
Ever since I first saw Star Wars as a kid, Boba Fett was my favorite. But in recent times, I like Emperor Palpatine a lot too, so he is a close 2nd, maybe even tied with Boba Fett.

Least favorite is Chewbacca
He does not have any dialogue and his actions are not funny from a comic point of view. Also, he uses a crossbow, not as flashy as the lightsabers. I don't hate him but he does not stand out compared to the other characters from an action point of view or relating to the plot.
Fave: Yoda
Badass yet funny in terms of speech!

C3PO is no pussy, he has the golden rod.
Having a hard time deciding favourites between Yoda (especially his dueling skills), The Fetts (self explanatory), Admiral Ackbar (LOL), General Grevious (minus his anticlimactic death), Mace Windu (purple lightsabers are beyond pro), and Plo Koon (so badass).

Surprised its only 53% for Jar Jar, My fave would be a toss up between the Palpatine (moreso in ep 6) and Grievous

It was a total tie for C3PO and Jar Jar for me :/
As for favourite, Hayden Christenson. C'monn. Who cares if the newest 3 movies weren't as good? <3_<3

Qui-Gon Jinn, yo.
Oh and least favourite is Tarkin. No real development, even in EU.

I used to like Qui-Gon until I watched those RedLetterMedia review videos on youtube.

least favorite Jar Jar ez most favorite Qui-Gon or Mace Windu

Yoda is the best character but this only includes episodes 4-6 since he was pretty rubish in 1-3.

The only thing I really hate in SW are Ewoks, no contest about it.

Anyone who refers to one's self in the 3rd person makes my shitlist.

shouldn't favorite be the first question? han solo = koolest

I was just wondering this. If anyone can clarify for me: Why is there so much hate for the prequels of Star Wars? Personally, I find the CGI to be pretty sweet even to this day and the first 3 episodes are what really hooks me into the SW universe, with Anakin becoming Vader and how he takes on that path, etc. I've seen some people say that it's due to the bad acting, people grew up with the last 3 episodes, etc. but those don't seem to be enough reasons to bash on such a huge franchise. T_T" I suppose I'm one of the blind consumers of modern markets who takes in all the flashy pew pew stuff.

Favorite is Han Solo, Harrison Ford come on, what else is there!?
Least favorite: tie between jarjar and chewbacca, I just don't like chewbacca and jarjar is flat out retarded.

yes, the first three are superior technology wise for sure. But story wise, IV/V/VI are more captivating and well made in my opinion. Its been years since I saw episodes I/II all the way through until I had to show my friend, and the perspective difference between a middle schooler and a college student gave me a more mature view of the series. There were definitely a few moments that I really didn't like in Episode I (such as the fate of Naboo and the treaty with the Gungans being based on sucking up to Boss Nass's overblown ego....it really seemed like the scriptwriters ran out of ideas here or something....). And episode II - the plot was a bit convoluted with a little too much going on at once. There were definitely poignant moments in the movie, especially the scene with the long-awaited reunion of Anakin and Shimi. Episode III was by far my favorite of the pre-original batch - the plot was better structured, in my opinion, than the first two.
Also, the general atmosphere/feel set by I-III (which is partly because of the cinematic technology) is different from the atmosphere/feel set by IV-VI. Some prefer one over the other, some may like both. I prefer the IV-VI feel over the I-III feel.
