So basically the situation Im in at uni is smth like this- this semester I must pass the last 3 exams from the first part of my studies. Its really hard to explain the whole german system but its pretty much like bachelor and master combined in one big course. So now is the last semester of my 'bachelor' part and I'm really studying hard and giving my all not to fail. The exams themselves are in 3 weeks time so Im going good with my preparations.
The problem is that I forgot to apply for the exams, I should've done till 30. of June. Its a complete fail by me and I can only pray for the uni to allow me to write my exams. In any case, they can just say fuck you and kick me out.
I'm full with anger and disappointment, I guess no one can fuck up your life the way you can do it by yourself. I already talked to the people who are to decide if I write the exams or not, but the final word has the baus, who is actually on vacation till next week. So basically for the next 4 or so days, I must somehow keep calm and focus so I can study on 100%, but on the other hand there is this like big... I dont know how to say it. I found out about the whole problem just yesterday, and I feel like being sick/drunk. I cant sleep, said again I'm just disappointed from myself.
I know its not a big deal to allow me into the exams and my situation is indeed really complicated, so I hope the baus understand what kind of shit I got myself in. Then again, this should'nt have happened

Well its in their interest to keep as many students in college, more fees for them, so would take a massive douche not to let you sit them just for being 5/6 days late in addressing some red tape.
I can only imagine how sickening the situation must be for you, you have my symaptthies, really hope the decision goes your way and the exams go well for you

this shit happens all the time. you arent the first and you wont be the last.
You should really keep track of deadlines though, but you probably know that by now.

Examination boards can be a real bitch if they want to, so i just hope that nothing bad happens and they let u in

God, that sounds awful  In Sweden it's never a big deal if you apply too late for exams, they should let you in. I really really understand the feeling of not being able to work 100%. Sometimes I feel tired and nauseated when I think about my masters thesis and I just can't work.

trust me, there a lot of people that are in the same situation as you. It's just that many pretend to be succesful and know everything when the truth is they are pretending and hiding behind a dark shell.

Yeah, that's very bad, i feel sorry for you.
I hope the administration looks your way and enables you to participate in tests.

I made a huge mistake last year too forgetting to send my SAT scores to Cornell ED or something. I accidentally sent myself a score report instead. I blamed how much time I was spending on starcraft and how it was affecting my concentration. Try to get the issue resolved ASAP.

i think you can still write you exams with reservation (in german = unter Vorbehalt). when you write your exam you just have to fill out another paper. this is the case at least at my university.

If you get denied, show up in person and plea. Usually works if you're sitting in their office and they don't really gain anything by denying you.

This is what I learned from university career: profs are people too. They get lazy, they get emotional, and most important of all, they are just working a job (the teaching portion at least). If you harass/beg them long/hard enough, they'll probably let it slide

All the best. As already mentioned above, most professors are usually pretty lenient. Since they wouldn't gain anything by denying you to sit your exams (and want your tuition in future, too) I'd just assume that it works out alright and focus 100% on studying.

I've spoken personally with basically everyone who could be of some help, including the university headmaster
At least he gave me some direction who to speak with. Its basically like a system with people working on a desk, who dont want to take any responsibility and will give you whatever answer to your problem just to get rid of you.

Similar things happened to me last year and everything turned out allright, I hope it will for you too!

I don't know what purpose would they have in kicking you out. I remember what you said about most of Germans being kind of nazi but it shouldn't be that bad
