..the month of severe senioritis. What makes it worse is that school is over in less than 2 weeks, which makes everything really painstakingly annoying. Gonna be a senior with a lot of responsibilities next year, and i already screwed up by getting 5 B+'s. Now I gotta raise my grades so my unweighted GPA doesn't get screwed up.
The list of things I've been procrastinating on:
1. Preparing for precalc final
It's not so much of a final as it is writing about what I learned this year in an hour. Writing thorough comprehensive thoughts about 14 units in essay format in 50 minutes is a daunting task...
2. Preparing for a math debate about the definition of infinity from cantor and kronecker's point of views.
Trying to understand college level calculus in a precalc class is also a time consuming task. Even with the help of google, wiki, and math forums, most of the stuff is a little over my head and I'll have to spend some time trying to understand stuff. Help is greatly appreciated here, for all you kind-hearted college folks.
3. Getting new pep band music for the football season
I made drum major for the school band (yay), so one of the series of changes I proposed was rewriting the pep band music for the upcoming football season. My director made me responsible for it, and so now, with the help of Notation Composer, I can write sheet music with MIDI files. However, I have to arrange these songs, which is also a pretty time-consuming task...If you guys want this awesome $200 program for free, PM me and I'll give you a link.
4. APUSH final projects'
I hate history. I hate group projects. Enough said.
5. English final vocab and essays
I procrastinated hardcore on vocab, which means I probably learned like 50 new words this year out of about 250. Totally screwed, and my essay final is going to be a pain in the butt.
6. Working out, Studying, and other self-motivated tasks
Haven't exercised or worked out in forever and the last time I read a textbook was in october of '09. Last time I practiced my violin for orchestra was when I had to cram for my audition, which went pretty badly. Long story short, I wasted my entire junior year sleeping, procrastinating, and playing BW.
Do you guys hate June or any other particular month?

oh poor juniors and their... wannabe senioritis
I screwed up pretty badly last year 3rd trimester (lol yay trimesters), but that was probably because I was gone for lots of competitions all the time... oops.
kronecker vs cantor... hmm I just read a bit about it. I guess Kronecker was just afraid of creating new kinds of numbers, since it's hard to tell how they behave, while Cantor was like "screw it there have to be names for these transfinite quantities" and invented them... but yeah idk I'm pretty noob. Not sure how "calculus"-y this is... I suppose Kronecker defined infinity as a kind of limit?
Yeah, the months right before Christmas break / summer always suck because of exams and the work teachers decide to pile on to get enough grades in the gradebook :/

Use this:

It's a smart flashcard program, so that you can store vocab in long term memory. I use it for foreign language, and I imagine it's a breeze in native language. It also makes studying super easy, I use it two times a day (at morning and at night) and I learned 1000+ vocabulary words in Japanese (in the context of sentences, and only understanding, not necessarily writing it from memory). I think 200 words is easily doable in 2 weeks with 20 minutes a day.

I don't know... I love the month, it's my birth-month. Never had anything bad happen to me during this month, actually now that I think about it some really surprising things happened to me throughout this month.

Junior in similar situation here D:... I need to pull a 95 on my precalc final to get an A

I sympathize with you, especially on #4 and raising your GPA. Yours is unweighted? That sucks, all AP and accelerated classes at my school give .5 extra.

lol being in college and on a semester system makes me like June for the first time. May dismissals ftw

It's nice to know other people are having/have had the same problems I'm goin through right now lol.
Cantor is really kicking my butt with his stinking axioms and set theory, and my puny high school mind can't comprehend what the hell they're talking about. I wonder if there's someone in the TL community thread that can help me out..
TY kainzero for that very helpful link =)
