So I had to vent.
I was placed in top Gold and was making it to Platinum when one day I played like total crap. I wasn't doing anything right and I lost a ridiculous amount of games. Now I'm in silver league where I sit at number 2, not being able to advance because I don't play enough. Now I'm not going to talk about the ladder system, just the players in silver. For the past 10 games I have faced cheese, Void Ray rushes, proxy gates, manner pylons, one base play, "tricks", reaper harass from every Terran,cannon rushed and yet I beat them all. I watch a lot of replays and most of my early game is devoted to paying attention and not losing. I always wish my opponent a good game because they're taking their time to play and a multiplayer community wouldn't be possible without them. They always BM me, and yelling, cursing and just simply leave. I'm tired of this, I wish I was back into higher leagues but alas, I have finals. Why are these players all like this? I have my musings, but I just needed a rant.

I rarely ever get bmed in the higher up leagues (#1 plat atm) so it might just be bad players with their bming
(though i do nerd rage sometimes myself haha)

Man when I was in silver it was the exact same situation. It seems like the silver league is the strange division of people who just try to cheese their way in. Most frustrating league ever.

arb: Yes, when I was in Gold everyone was very polite and I had a pretty good time. I do nerd rage as well, but its always in my private time running around my dorm smashing things, haha.
Shade: I feel ya man. I do feel like I'm getting better because of it though. I've gotten much better at preventing early harassment and making expansions to simply overrun the enemy player.

You are aware that you're creating a blog, saying how you played bad and dropped down a league, then called the players in your current league horrible and listed a bunch of strats they do (half of which are pretty standard) to prove your point about how bad they are, then complained about how they are always bm and asked why must people be this way.

I think BM is mostly happening in silver/golds - most are pretty disillusional about their own skills..

I once cheesed a guy by Void Ray rushing after a proxy gate from a manner pylon off one base, but the cannon rush eventually tricked him. He didn't take it well.

Yea i faced a lot of cheese too it's kind of annoying but what are you going to do? haha.

Ftrunkz: I was aware, but I didn't really mind when I was writing. Many people may BM at the end of a game or just rage all the time, but I like to vent by spewing forth my thoughts into writing or just smashing things outside of game, as I said. Also I didn't call the players in Silver bad, I was saying I was tired of their strategies, having tricks played every game so that no macro goes down is sometimes annoying. Also, thank you for replying and reading my blog, I felt like testing it on teamliquid because I have never done one on here.
Ghostcom: Yes I do agree. I am getting a bit of practice in this way, but I am no Platinum player as of the moment. I see it as progression anyway.
I would like to reiterate at this point to just say that I simply posted to collect some of my thoughts after a few games in which I realized the rate of quick strats. were used. I am not trying to bash all players who use cheese and tricks, they are essential to keep Starcraft evolving, I was just annoyed I had faced so many of it.
If I really wanted to redo this post it would be a look into the BM occurrences in league below Platinum.
