Is there any program that can give some more 'root' stats concerning the actions of a player?
Im curious if the "general apm" (or valid apm etc.) could be divided into such a simple thing as: number of 'keyboard' clicks, number of mouse clicks. And number of left/right mouse button clicks.
Im not sure however, if such a distinction is possible on the basis of replays, since I dont know if the game registers whether a key, or click was made. But Im still pretty curious, if it is possible to test it and benchmark myself with other players - maybe there is some program that could do it and we could compare results, while posting a game too. With some detailed charts it would be easily to stop when "apm" is lost/gained.

There are a lot of charts in BWChart, like action distribution and APM distribution. You can read about another program, that tells you your APM after ruling out a lot of spamming actions. You can read about that one here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=24709
Now, separating keyboard- and mouse-clicks, I believe, is much harder. I don't think the BW replay separates between keyboard- and mouse-clicks, other than when making of hotkeys. For example, if you were to move a unit, you could either select-click it with your mouse and then right-click where you want it to go, or you could select that one unit with your keyboard if it was previously hotkeyed, and then click m for "move" and left-click your mouse at the location you want it to go. Without having tested it, I think you'll get the same result, that BWChart will only say "select unit x" and then move [to] x,y.
You can compare the detailed charts in BWChart with other people if that's what you want. I've never felt I needed more info than what's already in BWChart, other than maybe the EAPM.

Yeah, I know. I was writing in Norwegian on msn simultaneously, where click = klikk, so wasn't fully in "english-mode".

BWChart is good, theres another menu for apm distribution (select, move, hotkey, etc.)

You couldn't split actions into keyboard/mouse actions. All the replay has is the actual ingame actions (move, attack move, select, build, etc.). You could figure out which actions can be initiated by right-click (move, collect, attack, etc.) but it'd be impossible to tell whether or not they were actually initiated by a right click or a 'm' -> left click.
APMAlert could do the benchmarking yourself vs other players ingame, but you'd need someone observing to be able to see all the APMs at once.
