I'm a big college football fan. I didn't used to be, but it's kind of hard to go to a school that loves its football team as much as Iowa does and not get sucked in.
But apparently that sucking effect has now grabbed in Girls' Generation, or at least their music video producers. There was something vaguely pedophilic about the whole video, but the Iowa Hawkeyes helmet got more than its fair share of camera time for a pastime that's limited to pretty much a single country and a team that's limited to pretty much a single state in that country.
Anyway, here's the link w/the video so you can see it for yourself.

The first minute features the girls kissing a black Iowa helmet. kind of hard to miss if your looking for it.
---- My brain almost exploded the first time I watched it Not only are they passing the helmet around and snuggling with it like a teddy bear….if you look closely it’s also sitting in the background in just about every shot. Even the two guys wearing the generic Alabama jerseys are carrying it around.
The tigerhawk might be the new Hello Kitty.
---- i want to say that those are unequivocally NOT alabama jerseys that white or grey stripe on the shoulders has never appeared in any iteration of our team’s uniform. not to mention the lack of numbers on the helmets.
as incandescently awesome as i think this is for you guys, i’m sure you’ll understand if i make a concerted effort to distance my team’s association with any possible involvement in this extravaganza.
dear lord, it’s like a horrible 80s music video on a red bull sugar rush. but worse since i kept waiting in terror for the part involving tentacles to begin.
