fortunately if youre just playing to improve your skill winning/losing doesn't matter that much personally i have mad respect for people who mass game without caring about their stats GLHF and play koreans if it's possible.

15:2 7:0 4:6 (no excuses, I fucked this one up) 31:16 (was a very good, close game) 12:10 (cannon rush, I didn't see it until it was too late) 10:3 [cannon rush again. (x.x) ] 8:0 I have also beaten a few "smurfs" as you would like to call them. One is currently near C+. I have been intentionally looking for them. What you need to realize is that everyone starts at D and has to work their way up. At the beginning of the season, a lot of people are playing at D that are actually much better than that. It will pass, then the season will end, and it will start all over again.

Yeah winning and losing aren't too important for getting better, but I'm a competitive person and if I'm not going at least 50/50 I get really frustrated and it makes me unable to play right. I guess I'm just used to playing all these FPS games that come naturally to me.

ICCup is also a really competitive ladder. By default, you're going to be playing some really great players! I understand this, but aren't people who are shitty (like me) supposed to be at D/D+? How are people who have ad a lot of time to get good at SC at D rank? Last season I was 21-26 D+ with a lot of good games, I felt pretty good about that since it was my first season to play. But this season its either I'm getting raped or I'm bored.

By everyone I mean Koreans By test their mettle I mean proxy gate a terran player. After that my record took a notable slide downward as well as my playing, ugh its a love/hate relationship with HBR, I hate the troubles that come with it but I love the challenge. I've beaten it before and Ill do it again. By beating I mean i got 1 win after 21 losses :D

But this season its either I'm getting raped or I'm bored. you have to understand that there is a significant proportion of the iccup population who don't really care that much about improving, they care about having good stats. they'll have multiple accounts and reset their stats as soon as they lose a game or whatever. it's silly and egotistical but it's just the way the ladder is. my suggestion is to try to find practice partners. next time you have a close game, ask them if they want to practice. for best results ask them after you lose. people are less likely to respond if you beat them (nerd rage lol) :/

Players with clean stats have points that end with 0; e.g. 2000 points (10 wins on python for 100 pts each); 1260 pts (2x 130 pts).

Because there are so many smurfs, I generally dodge all new accounts and any account that hasn't lost a game. I'm an actual D level Terran if you wanna PvT. My TvP needs a lot of work. Feel free to friend me (Timoon/ [CPL]Timon). I usually play around an hour or 2 a day.

a) don't play until later in the season when 95% of the players have worked through their ranks b) reset stats if you end up with <1000 points or whaatever c) just shrug it off and keep playing fixed!
