So sorry for this being one day late, had a really busy day yesterday (today isnt much better, but I took 10 minutes).
So this week my goal was to swim 6 times, 50 minutes each time. I did change it, but no big changes, I wanted to know how fast I could swim 1250meter (50 lenghts in the pool). Answer? 35 minutes, which I'm quite happy with (for the moment).
For week 5 I'll actually stick to the same plan as week 4, but only for 5 days. I've got two huge tests this week and those days I simply wont have the time to go swim those two days since I have other commitments at night.
So thanks for the support last week guys. Picture coming up in two weeks so I'll definatly be working hard

Are you finding that as this becomes routine you actually look forward to it? I started going back to the gym almost 2 months ago and now that I'm eating well and seeing gains I find myself really excited about gym days. Weekends actually seem slow because I usually lift MWTh, haha.
Keep it up!

Well I wouldn't say it's something I wake up and go "oh today I get to go swim, yay!" but I do look forward to how much better I feel after working out (is that really the right term for swimming). I can have days where I just feel drained of all the energy in my body, then I go swimming and when I get home I actually feel like I have more energy to sit down and study and stuff like that.

thanks
I'm not really following a diet, I'm just thinking twice about what I'm eating and now I wouldn't go down to the store just to buy a bag of candy or anything like that.

You call your blogs 'weightloss week x' but only describe what exercises you did :p nevertheless, you seem to put good work in, which is great. But how about you let us know how much you drop each week?

You should try learning a new meal to cook every week. Like something basic like eggs and whole wheat toast for breakfast instead of a poptart or cereal. Or oatmeal / grits. Breakfast was the first meal that I fixed in my diet because it was easiest and it's an important meal.
So yea, try taking it in small steps, this week find a healthy breakfast quick-dish you can make that you enjoy and will actually continue to eat. Then you can add a new breakfast next week, until you have an assortment of meals to choose from in the morning so you don't get bored and revert back to something bad.
The easiest way to fail a diet trying to change everything too fast. My parents have been on almost every diet known to man, but they have had major success with the ones that teach you how to portion meals from foods you like to healthy amounts. (so like i mentioned earlier, just try and learn 1 meal at a time)
Oh and make sure to remember all the hard work you've been doing when it comes time to sit down at the Thanksgiving dinner table. ^_^

I will once I drop enough that my scale will be able to measure it (think it's current limit is like 120kg)
@snet thanks for the advice man, I'll definatly try your idea out this week. I don't really eat that unhealthy but that doesnt stop me from making it healthier and also helping me lose weight faster
and I don't have to worry about thanksgiving, don't have that in sweden but christmas... oh man, gonna take all my strenght not to overeat :S
|
haha yeah, christmas is really hard not to eat like a maniac
there was a poster at my gym that stated "50% of the results is in what you eat". I definitely go by that theory./
Great attitude man! Keep it up! :D

So you don't have a diet, which is the most important thing to weight loss. But do you cook food or do you buy fast food or micro-food?
|
always cook, don't like microwave food
