Ok, I used to be a huge noob at PvT about 3 months ago and I have a few tips for the complete novice.
-Don't forget to add gates asap, 3 gates for every expo, so you should have 9-10 after you get your econ up.
-Macro
-Be sure to get arb's, this was the main reason my PvT was sucking dick, I didn't even understand how much 1 stasis helped before, now I sure do.. Recalls too if they are turtling.
-Storms are very important, ecentually you will have a lot of gas after your 2d round of zealots, make about 5 hts right after that, 5 hts can cause a LOT of damage.
-If a terran walls ( even if you scout him ) always do the normal 10 gate and then 21 gate, you will be safe from almost all rushes.
-Keep obs at crucial point's on the map to spot vulture raids.

yes i did the exact same thing when I used to play. I thought stork was map hacking for a second but then I see circles XD. Then I started to hotkey my robo bay throughout the game just to make obs... then i discovered reavers!

that's actually a really good point. I'm glad you brought that up. observers are an absolutely critical part of playing PvT. your game sense in PvT is improved dramatically simply by knowing how many facs he has and what stage of his tech he's at (sci facility or not, armory count etc) you can tell what sort of game plan he has and adjust your gateway count and economic growth accordingly

lol.. basically I just mean if you see shitloads of factories constructing you know youll have to cut some probes and get your gateways up to block the incoming push.. or if you see him teching, (building armories, armories spinning, sci facility building etc) or building a command center you know a push probably wont be coming immediately because hes spending his resources elsewhere
