Here's the thing Legal. You have this idea of yourself as being politically informed and of having highly complex and nuanced opinions. And you like to talk about it a lot while going on about the problems with both parties and how you can see better than everyone else. Personally, I think you're full of shit. So, when you mention these down ballot races where you closely examined the candidates from each side, their policies, their past experience, their corporate support and so forth and made a judgement against party lines, that's interesting to me. Because to me you seem a lot like the kind of person who would never actually do any of that but deeply cares about other people thinking you're the kind of person who would. So I thought I'd ask you to name the races and your reasons. Which, if you actually cared, would have taken all of a few seconds. Because you'd already done the work, right? You'd already looked into these things before you voted, right? And these are the races that really tortured you before making you cross the aisle, right? You're so very informed on these issues and made such a complex and educated choice that it should be absolutely no effort for you to just tell us, in a few words, why you did what you did. But no, instead you're here in website feedback complaining that me asking for details is somehow oppressing you. Because responding to "in a few races I made this decision" with "which races and why?" is apparently abuse of my mod status. Honestly you immediately running to website feedback is far better than any result I actually expected to get. I figured there was like a 5% chance of you going to wikipedia and looking up a few candidates from the last race, 95% chance of you ignoring it completely and hoping nobody else noticed. I didn't imagine calling you out would go this well.

Take of that what you will. I will admit that I just fucked up and mistook his content for something a fair bit more trollish than it actually was. My mistake on the original. fair enough we all make mistakes but i must admit that i am curious about these races where you voted republican because the democrat was so shitty

I don't really understand the nuances of human communication, in particular in English, but I think it really would be creepy only if you were a 13-yo girl. Admittedly, we don't have any solid evidence that it is not the case, but presuming that you are 30-something guy, I don't really see the creepiness in it. But again, you really do have a point, I am in some aspects the archetypal student of my faculty (in Czech a shorthand for it is commonly used as an insult to indicate that someone is socially inept). Sadly, I only really fit the stereotype in the "bad with people" part and not in the "great with maths and physics" part.
